Let's take some positives

1) We have had brilliant pre seasons for the last 2 years and had shite starts to the competitive season, getting a bad performance out of our system when it doesn't matter.
2) Highlights weaknesses (O'hara) and gives the kids a run out
3) On another day we would have scored 2 or 3.

Still a shit day at the office but no need to write the season off yet.

Whatever money Woodgate and King are on should be tripled because they are the only decent defenders at the club!

Naughton looks a real good buy to me. Back four to start the season:

There were plenty of positives today, and TBH we could have scored 4 or 5 on another day.

Positives:
-Livermore, Bostock and Rose showed they have something to offer.
-JD and Modric looked sharp.
-Lennon and Naughton looked bright, all be it whilst making a few mistakes.

Negatives:
-Bent and Pav looked a bit off the pace, lets hope they can sharpen up in the next few weeks (if they are staying).
-BAE seems to have lost a bit of confidence from his sparkling form at the end of last season.

Over reactions during the game:
-O' Hara wasn't that bad! He's just a bit average and we all want more than that for Spurs.
-Thudd sprayed the ball well. An average game but has been harshly criticised by a few on here.

I'd agree with that.

Naughton looked good - WHEN he kept things simple.

He tried to be clever a couple of times and embarassed himself a bit. I'm sure he'll learn from that though. Looks a good player.

tbh, I sorta wanted us to lose a game this pre-season. just didnt think it would be today.

bostock the only real bright spot the rest looked poor, i want to like livermoore but he jusr doesnt have any touch, v v clumsy on the ball.

Thought JD and Modric were awful today. Keane was the only one that looked up for it going forward - setup Bent with 3 cracking chances which he ballsed up

It was disappointing but Celtic are much further in their pre-season preparation than us and we played different teams in each half, neither of which would be a first choice 11.

Positives were Naughton, Rose and Bostock all playing well and showing loads of passion. Livermore was up for it as well but he seemed to play a lot of sideways passes.

Some of the overreaction here, jesus. Pre-season means nothing, last season shows that.

Liverpool and United have struggled in their games, they are shit aswell are they?
