Gilberto over O'Hara and Chimbo = v. good.

Well, only because Bolton don't look like they have any wingers who could run at Gilberto, so he should be able to concentrate on getting possession and using it creatively.

Btw why is El Hadji **** only on the bench?

Berbatov sounded terrible today. Missed 2 or 3 absolute sitters.

sounded as though we played reasonably well however.

We played ok, what I saw of a stream that was very jumpy. Bolton rode their luck a bit, we had shots off the line and we had 26 shots to their 7, it was just that kinda game. On another day we'd have had a hatful.

not many really because we weren't very good against Boro and Wigan, they were probably fair results

I do not accept our current 'on another day' attitude for one minute. We were BAD today....NO other description will hold water! Top 4 teams....'splutter and spit' their way through the season....BUT they always take the 3 points. We are lucky to take the odd 1 pointer and against the lower ranked teams. NO EXCUSES for that....I am SURE that you will agree? The time for the EXCUSE ridden threads has passed....IF we want to call ourselves a TOP 4 team we will have to have a major reappraisal of our mental attitude and motivational technique (although I can see that Ramos is probably the MAN to make things clearer and more promising, from the start of next pre-season training....but we have been here before....several times!)
The current JOKE of a season is almost completed but I have yet to see much promise (on post Carling Cup performances) from many of our 'stars'. It is time to bring in the BIG names....IF we dare! COYS!

i thought berbatov looked happier today

Apart from when he was berating himself for missing those chances.

I liked the variation of the Free Kick where Jenas passed to him but he scuffed the shot badly. He looked dead  at that.

Our poor finishing over the past few weeks is really frustrating. :bang: Must've cost the club several million in prize money for league position, wonder if DL will suggest to Ramos to dock their wages to make up for it?

BTW I had to read here we had Cerny in Goal, cos I never saw him once on that sticky stream. When they scored it was stuck, but I assume that was their only shot on goal?

I didnt see the game but Mackinally from Sky Sports News forum said that he (Cerny) was a passenger in the second half, so much so because of our dominance playing in their half where we failed to convert the chances.

I'm alright with not grabbing the points though. Yeah I'd like to see us win, but right now, when points don't matter that much, its more about our performance, which was good. Zokora played great in replacement of Hutton, Ramos did well with his substitutions and we were barely threatened. I missed their goal, so I didn't get to see what happened with it, but we should have scored at least 3 goals, but I'll take it. We played good football.
