I was in the Chelmsford Sainsbury's earlier and as I was passing the magazine section I thought I'd see if they had a copy of Spurs Monthly. Now the last time I was there they only had in amongst their six racks of womens magazines and TV guides (why are there so many?), a few copies of Man Utd Monthly. I didn't think much of it at the time, we all know how many Man Utd fans live down South and I figured they had just sold out.
Back to today. I looked on the shelf and to my horror, sitting next to Man Utd was not Spurs Monthly, but the pea brained dunce Mario Balotelli on the front cover of Man City magazine. "What was it doing there?" I asked myself. Surely there couldn't possibly be enough City fans here in Chelmsford Essex to justify selling that rag, this a Spurs stronghold after all, we even have a Spurs shop on the high street.
After I had put equestrian and air gun magazines in front of the two stacks of Manc eyesores, I requested to the Lady on the front desk that they start selling Spurs Monthly. I have no idea if they will but I'm not really that bothered about the magazine, I can get it from the Spurs Shop after all. I'm more concerned that there are already a load of young kids supporting Man City in my town.
What I'm trying to say is if you have children, please force them to support Spurs if you've not done so already!
