As it was 4am local time, most watched it at home. The next gathering will most probably be for the Carling Cup Final vs Chavski at Al's Diner, Lan Kwai Fong. You can pm me or go to www.spursinhongkong.com for further details, cheers.
Thought I should put the SiHK thread back to the top of the pile. Not that I have the time or the energy recently to get out for games, but they are still meeting on a regular basis in Delaney's in Wanchai, on the first floor. The footie team is playing regular 11-a-side matches with varying degrees of success, I managed to turn out twice in 2008 and I believe we lost both times, but they beat both Chelsea and Arsenal supporters teams through the year.
If you're moving to Hong Kong or passing through on business or holiday, do let us know and we can let you know what's going on and where. And if you're anywhere near here on Carling Cup final night, expect a mad one - even I might have to drag my sorry backside out for that one this year, even though it's a 4am start on a work day.
As if you need reminding, a week on Sunday on the 1st March, Spurs march on to Wembley and for those of you who find yourself in Hong Kong, Arry's Blue and White Army will be gathering for the game at Delaney's Bar in Wanchai.
Click on "Map" and you'll see how to get there. Take the MTR (underground) to Wanchai, come out of Exit C and turn left, walk about 150 yards and turn right on to Luard Road, Delaney's is about 30 yards on your right. We'll be upstairs on the first floor in the Sports Bar. Make sure to make yourself known once you get there, kick off is at 11pm HK time. Although I'm SURE people will be there some hours before :beer
Sure to be another great night so look forward to seeing you all there.
Here's a taste of the sort of atmosphere you can expect:
I'd be very surprised if they shifted 40,000 tickets for the match, I'm sure you'll be able to get tickets very easily. But check in the SiHK website for updated details, and I'll try and keep this updated too.

I can't believe I am going to be living in ShenZhen, literally next door, from the end of May until end of September, but that weekend I will be back in UK for my brothers wedding. I am a little bit gutted about this now.
Looks like I might head over to Delaney's for the opening game of the season though, assuming that is still the place to go.
My schedule back to China has changed slightly and I am now flying back in on 1st of August, so I am planning on staying the weekend in HK and going to the football.
If anyone else is going, would be really great to meet up.
Preparations are well under way in Hong Kong for the Spurs visit on 2nd August. Several events are being organised around the match (including, hopefully, a SiHK v Overseas Spurs match), and the lads have just booked two trams for a Spurs ride/drink/singsong up and down Hong Kong island. We did a similar trip two years ago and it was a roaring success, if you're interested you can have a look here for further details on the tram trip and other arrangements being made:
