Looks like assault to me. The poor fellow is grinning to keep the louts sweet while they force him to wave his arms in the air.

I think the people were well meaning but one wonders if they would pick up a random black supporter and pretend it's one of our black players. I don't think they would.

I was fearing for worse before viewing but I think it was all in good spirit. Not that I'd argue with someone who would take offence mind. Would be even worse if he didn't even have 'Son' on the back of his shirt.

I wore an Ireland top with Keane 10 on the back to the game when he scored 4 against Burnley. Outside the ground afterwards some fella shouted 'look, it's Robbie Keane' before he and his friends started shouting 'Keano! Keano!' at me. I wasn't offended. As a shortened version of my name is Kea, I get offended when the Wife says 'Kea, no!', but that's another story.

I think there is a huge lack of representation and misplaced support of Asian footballers in England on a whole. Chants of "eating dogs" usually always crop up, and I know while they're meant to be humorous, they just come across as a bit backwards. I know that these type of things are meant to be light hearted humour, but parading a fan around in relation to Son just because he is Asian could offend a few people, and I don't quite agree with it.

The guys lifting him do seem to mean well, but there is a bigger problem with the reception that Asian players get in this country, and I think that needs to be addressed.
