Spurs fans back 'Charity not PPV' campaign to support food banks over £14.95 EPL games

Tottenham fans have joined supporters from other top-flight clubs in the ‘Charity Not PPV’ campaign to donate money to food banks rather than watch the club’s pay-per-view games.

I will not be paying the £14.95, I will find other means to follow the game. I just cannot understand why the clubs are pushing for this, I can’t seem them making the fortunes from it to make the negative PR worthwhile. Surely there was a way to put on free to air Tv, which has far higher viewing figures, and advertisers would more than cover the costs and provide the revenue clubs ‘need’.
