SSN reporting spurs chief scout at Wigan v Real Zaragoza tonight. Do we think this is just general scouting or someone more specific?

Am I allowed to post links? I assume so, therefore:

From http://football-talk.co.uk/6838/tottenham-chief-scout-spotted-stadium/?

Tottenham’s chief scout has been spotted at the DW Stadium this evening watching Wigan take on Real Zaragoza. It’s believed he is keeping an eye on Wigan full-back Maynor Figueroa, although Charles N’Zogbia may also be on the radar.

With Gareth Bale continuing to impress on the left side of midfield, Spurs boss Harry Redknapp may be on the look-out for a new left-back after the indifferent form of Benoît Assou-Ekotto towards the end of last season. Figueroa produced some fine performances for Wigan and has been linked with a move to Liverpool this summer, but Tottenham may be ready to swoop should he impress tonight.

Another possible target could be Charles N’Zogbia. Redknapp may see Gareth Bale’s best long-term position as left-back and after missing out on Joe Cole, Spurs could do a lot worse than look to N’Zogbia if they want a left sided player with premiership experience. The attacking midfielder will have left an impression on the Spurs scout after scoring the equalizer just before half-time.

Neither Figueroa nor N’Zogbia came out for the second half, at which point the Tottenham scout headed for the exit. It seems he had no reason to stick around any longer.

Of the two I think I'd prefer N'Zogbia

Can play centrally, LM or LB - a genuine goal threat, hard working, good technique

Could do a lot, lot worse, albeit I think it's in a position where we're well covered

Personally think its Diame. To player, was 3rd in the premiership last season with the most amount of tackles won.

He's been playing wide right for the last year.

Would be happy with any of Figueroa,N'Zogbia or Diame and even more delighted with all 3.
Put those 3 in a good team and they would really do a solid job.
