As many have already commented on Twitter, it does feel a bit like All Jose or Nothing.

Can't help but feel that Amazon lucked out with his appointment, It's clear that him joining the club made Amazon's narrative very easy and judging by the response on socials, having watched the first 3 episodes many are now swaying towards the Pro-Jose side of the coin which is great work just in time for the new season.

We see him being light hearted, putting an arm around players etc

We see him tear into Dele and Aurier and immediately both respond with game winning performances, which appears to be great motivational man management. But for some reason we don't get to see Poch trying to get a reaction from any of his squad when results were going wrong.

Because when they started filming it was already going down the shitter?

So are they not supposed to clean out the office before Jose moves into it? Just because his stuff is there already doesn't mean they shouldn't clean, they probably did it the morning of his arrival.
For the cameras. And the night before when they weren't there...

All I know is that when I've hired people, the morning of their first day I cleaned off their desk again and made sure everything was ready to go. It's just being professional and buttoned up. Not just for the cameras.

I'd do it again too, before the crates had been put there.

Look, I'm not saying this is a perfectly acted out film, just there are obvious signs of some staging, and once everyone got over the initial shock of someone coming on here and saying this isn't an amazing piece of TV like we all hoped, everyone will see it too and laugh about it. The bit with the TV and the "fuck off" etc, it'll be laughed about.

pfffft! Surely they could have just got them in and re-enacted the whole thing when everyone returned :cautious:

Doesn't anyone at the club actually want to win a fucking BAFTA? No wonder we can't win a cup with that sort of mentality.
Sooooo. You're saying there was a pot up for grabs and Jose didn't pull out all the stops to win it?

Pfft. In that case I make that pundit right. Jose has lost it!

Watched the first episode....very interesting, strange to see the back of house goings-on at that level.

One stand out comment.... Sissok's earned the respect of his teammates. I liked that

This is a really bland show with only a few interesting titbits and insights into who our players actually are in real life - that is the only thing that keeps me watching, being already emotionally invested in them.

For a neutral, however, there is little to make you want to play the next episode unless you worship Mourinho. The guy loves the cameras so much I think it very likely played some part in him being here now, from the point of view of both Mourinho and Levy. Mourinho is a total complete narcissist. I can imagine it has a lot of currency in a job like that - but those traits mean you are a fool in the rest of life. That conversation between Kane and Mourinho is his office, telling Kane he can make him 'explode' had me in stitches.

This show is a blatant club PR stunt, with particular focus on re-branding Levy. We learn he just really really cares about Tottenham. Yunno - not just the club, and bringing the fans success, but also the locality, and especially all those poor struggling locals living at or below the poverty line. We already know wants to help them by buying up all the land and housing stock and playing property developer. That's right - the best way to regenerate the area is simply to move rich people in and scatter the annoying poor people to the wind.

In another scene Levy is utterly perplexed with the breakdown of Eriksen's commitment to Spurs. It is unresolvable we learn because there is just no contact from Eriken's agent. He asks Mourinho if he can use his clout to have a word and convince him to sign that new contract. Levy asks, 'Maybe you can try one more time to work some Jedi mind shit on him, Jose?.. and get him to sign that contract for £40 a week plus a free travelcard?'

Incidentally, the very brief time we get to listen to Eriksen, he comes across as the most inteligent and thoughtful of all the players we get to hear. Contrast that to Dele's dumb blonde toothpaste moment and you can see that the young instagram generation is well and truly fucked and dumbed down. The future looks bright...

The thing that made me laugh the hardest was Mourinho unpacking his belongings from the crate on the floor and one of his prized possessions was the signed photo of the ultimate image of shithousery on a football field of Vinnie Jones grabbing Gascoigne by the balls....

I thought that scene was really good. Even the wife commented on how real it felt with Mou just moving his shit around the desk like any of us would when setting up our desk on the first day. Felt weirdly personal and real.

Sure, if you're completely cynical and ignore all of the stuff the club does for the community which, you know, they actually explained. There's affordable housing, jobs, free tickets etc - instead of 'mov(ing) rich people in', it's giving the locals in the are the chance to increase their wealth.

Dele just spoke about everyday stuff. I don't know why you've equated a question about seemingly normal behaviour into a "dumb blonde" moment. The fact is that it got some weird answers, and in the inverse of your supposition, it actually shows more mental versatility to look at everyday things and ask those questions - as validated by the (by popular opinion) strange answer the physio gave.

(irony in calling Dele 'dumb' but you've spelt intelligent wrong btw. Then again you've voted a direct response to your post as spam, so that's another level)

The Dele scene re the toothpaste is something similar me and my lot at Maplin would have spoken about. Just random stuff. You get to know each other. It made it more real to me at least because I relate to those kind of conversations.

Loved it so far. Fantastic to see behind the scenes at the club. Maybe bland and boring for neutrals, but fuck neutrals.

Watched the first three episodes earlier and think it's brilliant.

Great insight into the workings of the club. Really looking forward to the next three.

One thing though - does anyone else shake hands so often when at their work?

Just a soundtrack of constant clapping.

Watched the first episode. I genuinely watered up at Poch section but there was one scene in the canteen where he looked lost. That just hurt.

Mourinho saying stuff that needed to be said to players was refreshing. It makes me want him to succeed and I'm not a fan of Jose

Thats the kind of deep behind the scenes shit we're after lol.
Can see why it was left in.
Reminded of me of that old advert, cant remember what for, when there was a young woman and a bloke laying on a beach somewhere beautiful, looking at the water and she turns to him doe eyed and says 'What are you thinking about?'
He replies 'I was just thinking what could swim faster, a horse or a dog?' lol.
Sums up the male psyche perfectly lol.

I don't think Aurier came across as a "moody fucker" at all. I was very impressed with his maturity when speaking about his upbringing, he seemed to revel in the time he spent with the children with special educational needs also. He had a very jovial demeanour throughout, from the incident when he spilled the drink over "Jose's trainers" to the larking about with Dele in training.

If thats what you deem a "moody fucker" then....
I was talking about the dressing room stares happy chops.

It was a joke!

Gotta admit I love Dele's face when Jose tells Aurier he's scared of his defending. Was like when your good mate is getting told off at school by the teacher :ROFLMAO:

Kane comes across a little awkward. As the star player he's got to be featured regularly but it's like he is reluctantly playing a role asked of him on camera.
It would be an incredibly awkward situation. You would think twice before you opened your mouth.
Imagine if tomorrow your boss said 'Ok peeps we've got a camera crew coming in to film real life office enviroment but dont worry. Just act normal.'
You wont.
No way I'm dancing on the table with my cock out at 10.30 like normal.

Ahahahaha a spelling mistake... I bet you rubbed your hands with glee when you spotted that. Look, I'm so sorry - it's a real shame because I realise everything I said is immediately invalidated, my observations totally discredited, and this conversation is now over, DAMN...

I guess only someone on the Levy club payroll is going to be pointing that out anyway, so I'm curious - how much does he pay?

Oooh free tickets. That's marvellous that it can be paid for by the most expensive season tickets in football.
