To hear his favourite game was the carling cup final makes me realise how arrogant clubs are nowadays for disregarding it.

For players like Ledley there weren't alot of chances to win things and he deserved his name in the history books.

It's for this reason I desperately want us to win the Europa. The fact that players like Sheringham, Klinsmann, Modric and VDV have nothing to show for their time here makes me sad.

Fantastic ambassador for the club, just a shame we couldn't stretch out his playing career - he was and will always be one of my favorite spurs players.

Well said mate. It's difficult to knock players that move on looking for silverware providing they do it in the right way, unlike a few we can mention. It was great to read how he wouldn't have moved on, easily said in hindsight but I think it's true. One of those rare loyal footballers

Wasn't worthy of a new thread but I went to see side effects Sunday night in finchley and Ledley king was sitting one row behind me. Couldn't believe it

Had a very brief chat after movie just saying what a top player he is and one of our greatest ever players. He just said cheers, shook hands. I ended by saying have a word with the team as we dont want what happened last year to happen this year and he said I'll see what I can do

He never struck me as the loquacious type!

"I wouldn't have joined any other team - I was always happy at Tottenham. I was captain at a young age and I wanted to make the team better and try to win things, so I never thought about leaving."

A mate of mine (not a Spurs fan) was involved with the making of this. It was his idea to get the school involved with the club for this project and basically organised it. He said Ledley was really great with the kids and all in all a top bloke
