Djed Spence has returned to the Club following a loan spell at Leeds United.

The defender, 23, made seven appearances for the Championship side having joined them on loan in August.

I've watched a few Leeds games this season, and each time he's been used as a LWB. He hasn't exactly pulled up trees, but he certainly hasn't been bad so it might be nice to have options on both sides.

Thats not the kind of club announcement when you are happy get a player back...

I suspect they are not seeing him as critical and need to free up a loan slot for a more vital role. Probably not because he isnt good enough but more they need something else and dont have the funds in the winter window. I suspect we will be able to get him another championship loan - we need to target a team that need a RB and push him rather than wait to be approached.

There’s a quote somewhere of the Leeds manager giving a very diplomatic account of why they cut the loan short. It sounded like an attitude problem but it’s not specific what that is. It does say he is a nice/cool kid.
