I am now going to watch this…

I expect it will be a car crash.

I will report back…

Well…

It appears Sol just says words.

Ones that have no real meaning whilst also demonstrating pretty much zero managerial acumen.

It looked like Simon Jordan was trying not to laugh at points.

What a strange piece of radio.

Jim White almost seemed to be egging Sol on in “you can do it, Sol! You go get ‘em!” manner.

Kind of like how a father would encourage his 8 year old son…

Very odd.

If a Genie appeared and told you, that he would make it so that Spurs won the league, but only IF you wished for Sol Campbell to be the manager that got us there, what would you do?

No. That feels a bit like asking an infertile man if he'd accept the gift of a son if it was conceived by his high school bully sticking a stiff one into his wife.

He did seem a bit bitter, but I get the impression that he wouldn't accept going down to Vanarama level and be a number 2, or even just a coach there to learn the trade. He thinks if Lampard and Gerrard can get top jobs, why can't I? I can see his point but whining about it ain't going to get you anywhere Sol.

14 applications in how many years? The DWP would have his guts for garters if he wasn't a millionaire.

Hire Hamster Cheeks or Conte the angry lunatic, then hope we win the CL?

Honestly all spurs bias aside, every time I see him he comes across as such a deluded weirdo and genuinely just a bit of a prat. Fair play to Jordan for telling it like it is. Not normally a fan of Jordan but he told Campbell what someone needed to tell him a long time ago. Doubt Sol will listen though.

As for Jim White, fucking hell. Absolutely pathetic behaviour from a grown man. Is he for real?

Actually met him pretty recently coming out of a BP garage in Benfleet. Was the bigger man and held the door open for him to walk in. Should've asked him for the £30 back for 6 year old me getting Campbell 23 on the back of the purple shirt.

Anyway, he always just comes off as so douchey. Liked how Jordan gave him the chance to state how he interviewed and Campbell just stuck to the generic buzz word answers.

Exactly. You can see on that 30 seconds exactly why he never gets past an interview.

Just listening now. They guy is such a dick

Even if you put aside how he left spurs, he finessed a free transfer from arsenal to “go abroad” and signed for Pompey the next day. Then was seen as Pompeys greatest player ever by a lot of my mates who support them....until he left and sued the club when they were facing bankruptcy. Guy is so toxic

For anyone who wants to endure 16 minutes of rage inducing delusion. I think in the interest of fairness he should be fast-tracked to the Arsenal manager role when Arteta is sacked.

The amount of cock sucking Jim White was doing on Judas was beyond a joke, going on about his playing career and how good it was and just being completely oblivious that it has fuck all to do with being a manager. Bellend.

It’s quite incredible to hear him talk about the game as there isn’t a single element of tactical insight or understanding the complexities of the mental side, handling players and a squad. It’s all ‘man down the pub’ sound bites.

The David Brent of football management "vis a vis he talks the talk but can't walk the walk". Just a guitar missing in there.
And Jordan did chuckle at the end. Tells you all you need to know.

Don't forget Notts County. The dude is a whiney let down merchant who blames everyone except himself.

It's barely even that. I've heard plenty of men down the pub offer more insight than Campbell. He thrust throws out generic cliches like "I'll give it 110%". He's one of those people who manages to talk non-stop for 5 minutes and not actually say anything at the same time. You can completely see from that interview how he must come across in interviews and why he doesn't get offered the jobs.

Also, from Crouchy about his training:

"The worst has to be Sol Campbell at Portsmouth,"

"He had reached the end of his career by then and he'd probably lost some of his enthusiasm.

"You'd see him in the masseurs room of a morning, getting his legs rubbed, and Harry Redknapp would shout to him: 'You out today, Sol?'

'Not today,' would come the reply. He'd get plenty of stick for it but he felt he'd earned the right to do that and his performances at the weekend were never below par.

"I should add that I was a kid at Spurs with Sol and he was a brilliant trainer then."

There was also an anecdote where he'd apparently say stuff like "come back to me when you have 70 caps/captained England" when people asked why he was or wasn't doing something.

Sounds about right. He really is such a prick.

It always sums it up for me that even Arsenal as a club and their fans almost seeem to try and disassociate themselves from him. They're almost embarrassed by him.

Not all, I have a typical gooner friend who whenever someone says anything negative about him he'll always come back with " oh you mean Sol Campbell the invincible?" He won't accept the guy is a bellend as he's an 'invincible'. Such a dick.
