So it appears we (will) have signed Sanchez and Aurier with Walkers fee (less Sanchez performance clauses).

Think by next summer we will be looking back amazed by this.

It does look a great signing. To me he looks as commited in the tackle as Rose which is great. I can imagine them 2 put against each other in training.

The only annoying thing about bank holiday weekend is waiting a little longer for this to get done. Waiting that extra time for the work permit. I wonder if we might announce on Tuesday as subject to work permit.

From my point of view, Aurier is Walker with ability to cross and behavioural problems. He's much better than Trippier in games like with Chelsea, when we needed pace on the sides. Trippier might be better option against teams going to park bus in their box
.
But Chelsea parked the bus :p

This, to me, would be the most important signing of the window and I desperately hope we can get it over the line. Aurier would keep us at a top 3 title competing level IMO. Without him, I would not feel very confident about challenging this season.

My guess is more negotiations over the terms of payment to PSG. All sorted with the player.

Has anyone else reported on documentation other than @parisunited6 twitter account ?
Another account did a bit before parisunited posted it. All they said is that he has the document to show his appeal was successful - it means he should get a work permit, but he hasn't got it yet.

Ok...As long as police-judicial clearance certificate has arrived, we should be ok.

Even though we may not have a wing forward, this is important as it enables us to flourish with FAST wing backs and play our high line.

do we think:
a) Spurs will publicly address the past?
b) Spurs should publicly address the past?
c) it's that big a deal?

I am sure the club will have looked into it and made a decision on whether he can be given any help, but this has been the issue all week with various fan groups and blogs highlighting it. Players have done far worse and been given more chances..

The article says:

At a time when football believes itself to be entering into a period of heightened awareness, the perception of a seemingly unrepentant player being allowed to continue their career without major repercussions is particularly damaging.

and

Perhaps Tottenham have had Aurier’s remorse demonstrated to them. Maybe. But that’s still something which must be communicated properly, because - as yet - the toxicity of the Blanc episode hasn’t been contained. At least in public, there has been no real show of contrition, comprehension or regret.

So.. will the club say anything?

Assuming Rose is back & play to his best, the back 5 of Aurier, Sanchez, Toby, Jan, Rose with Wanyama & Dembele in the midfield is so strong not just in defense, not just in possession, but also in attack. IMO, Aurier is better than Trippier. Aurier with Sanchez could have actually upgraded our starting XI.

He's waiting for his work permit If we want to keep following the soap operas that are twitter and the news outlets then its always on/off but I really think this barring WP is a done deal.

You don't have to say "IMO" regarding Aurier vs. Trippier. Aurier is far better, younger and anyone that thinks that is not true should be beaten with a stick. Think we could easily see Trips sold in the next year/year and a half and KWP becomes the primary backup.

Or maybe :sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep: fucking :sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep:.

If he'd have gone to Manchester 'let's-all-suck-their-cocks-off' United, this would all hastily be brushed aside.

Bet your life on it.
