Tevez & Mascherano
He looks like a really nice talent - capable of finishing, good technically with the ball at his feet, quite wiry and strong, my only concern is I think he would be a bit bereft of pace in our league. If he had great acceleration it'd be like woah look out this guy will be amazing, but it does not stand out in what is a much weaker and slower league. Lamela looked fast in the Argentinian league, looked fine in the Italian league and it wasn't until he was in the PL it became apparent that he didn't quite have the pace to scare defenders on that front. Different positions to a degree but the overall point still stands.
Still, like Lamela, he has really good technique, so I'm not ruling out his possibility of success and I'm not saying he isn't a fine talent. Just that if he had some real pace in the mix we'd surely be on to a real winner. And most likely not with a remote possibility of getting him

Lamela didn't look fast in Argentina, I don't know where you got that idea. The league in Argentina may have a lower level but players are not weaker and the pace of the game is not slow. It's def faster paced than the italian league.
Lanzini was not particularly a pacy player in Argentina. He was agile, and had good acceleration. He's the same now in the PL
A pacy player in Argentina was Alexis Sanchez, who's also a pacy player in the PL.
I think you are exaggerating a difference that imo is minimal
That said, Driussi is not a pacy player, but he has great standing acceleration
Makes it easy to identify the FIFA managersKane doesn't have pace. Some people on here are obsessed by it.

Kane is not slow. He used to be but he definitely has improved in that sense
Because it's something we severely lack.Kane doesn't have pace. Some people on here are obsessed by it.

Break the line on tough stubborn defenses?Because it's something we severely lack.
We're in serious need of some quick, tricky attacking players who can break the line and stubborn defences.
It's what N'koudou and Sissoko were bought for but so far have miserably failed to achieve.
This guy has a funny running style. He seems to run from his knees instead of pushing off the ankles.
Break the line on tough stubborn defenses?
Like Sadio Mane? Who plays for Liverpool? Who struggles massively against stubborn defenses?
Pace is good against top teams who push a lot at you so you can counter attack on them. It's not good against teams sitting deep and looking to break on you.
