No idea what the details are and whether it has to be done before the season starts, but this is the reply I received.

Hi XXX,

Thank you for your email.

Please be aware that any season ticket cancellation would be permanent and could not be reversed in future. All ticketing points would also automatically be reset.

If you'd still definitely like to cancel and refund your season ticket please let me know by way of reply so that we can arrange this.

Kind regards,
XXX
Just to confirm - you paid for this coming 2021-2022 season season ticket and can get a refund and cancel before the season starts?

Yes, I did it but I wouldn't wait too long if you were going to do it.

I completely get that. I renewed my ST again and I can’t wait to get back there but it doesn’t feel good giving money to a football club whose last concern is actually investing in the football team. But what can you do? Fair play to those who have voted by not renewing but if I don’t renew then someone else will snap up my seat and I don’t feel anything has been proven. Maybe the only way to hurt them is not to buy any food, drink, merchandise at the ground on match days but even that seems futile because the majority still will. It’s quite disillusioning to know you really have such little power over something that means so much to us.

Yeah that’s fair enough mate. It’s a personal decision for all of us and I know I will miss it after over a year not going to the stadium.

For me, the club and what I love about it always felt so connected to me as a person. There may have been times we were crap but we always had excitement in our team - even in the 90s with Ginola etc - and despite their failings I always felt ENIC were trying their best to make it work. More recently, managers like Jol, Redknapp and Poch just were a superb fit for Spurs. I can’t explain why, it’s not just the football, it’s about how they talk about the game and what they tried to offer us as fans. To me it felt like, at the crucial moments at least, Levy got that.

It looks like Levy has totally lost sight of that now. The decisions he is making have been dreadful since the new stadium delays - the squad is now stale, the fans are largely pissed off, our best player is fed up with it too etc.

I don’t care about a big name or even big name signings. Even he just got in a bunch of promising kids and a promising manager like Graham Potter or ETH, I’d be on board because it would should that he’s looking to build again and start a new project. I wouldn’t really even care how well we did over the next couple of years if we got back that energy, unity and forward motion.

However it looks like he’s decided to go down a different route - and appears to be scrabbling around to hang on to what he previously had, which was lost a long time ago. I don’t know why he can’t see it. It’s been clear as day on the pitch and in the stands for over 2 years. Poch even had to say it publicly!

I’ve just totally lost interest. It’s a real shame, but at least I’ll get to spend more time with the family at weekends!

Just got the email offering my lad a ST - he is/was 12,945 on the waiting list.

Not sure why I’m seeing all these posts for season ticket offers from people far down the list, I’m officially 128th on the waiting list and haven’t been offered one. That said, I’ve rejected such offers in some past seasons but my disposable income and free time have changed a lot since I first joined the membership scheme 20 years or so ago.

Edit: They probably just correctly assume, I’ll pass again.

I think what levy is trying to avoid is a long term project as the club can't spend 4/5 years sitting mid table trying to get back which may or may not happen.
That is the only thing I would agree with him on the club has to stay in touch with the big boys, as for losing interest in the club I can identify with that as myself I won't be going to anymore games for the foreseeable future my love for the club is seriously under threat.

I was contacted sometime in May asking to confirmed if I would be interested in obtaining season ticket for the upcoming season. And I said yes, I got an email offering me season ticket, I am under 2000 on the waiting list. If you are interested in owning one, contact them. There is a chance, you missed your email from Spurs. Good luck.

As long as we fill the stadium and do all the concerts, NFL, boxing etc I genuinely don’t think he cares much whether we’re mid table or finishing 5th/6th. Obviously he wouldn’t turn up his nose at the Europa League cash but if you want to be a top club you have to consistently spend the levels of cash he’s not willing or comfortable to spend.
So a longer term project makes sense, with the potential upside of hitting a goldmine after a couple of years like he did with Poch.

Well we know we are not a top club so we are left to fight it out with Everton, villa and West ham in tier two, but are fan's happy enough paying big prices for second level stuff.

What was the point me queueing to be let in to the site, only for it to crash anyway as soon as you get on? That combined with the Nuno news breaking now... I was in two minds whether to get a ST, I guess Spurs have made my mind up for me

Yep. Crashed for me too. They even want to take the enjoyment out of this!

I got through to the seat selection page and there’s absolutely thousands free too. Availability in virtually every block.

tried since 10am this morning and each time I got to the top of the queue it crashed. What is the point of building a state of the art stadium and using a ticket system that is not fit for purpose - GRRRRRRR

It’s ticketmaster, they are shit. I got kicked out even after selecting a seat and adding to a basket. Got to go into a meeting for the rest of the morning and afternoon now so will likely miss out. Mind you there were thousands of seats to select so hopefully there will still be some by the end of the day.

Its working now. My brother just got one in Block 509 where we are. The annoying thing is I tried to move our seats when we were able to but there were hardly any available. Now there are thousands - it seems like Spurs are looking after new ST holders rather than their exisitng ones as they know we are in for life regardless

Yeah I noticed that too. Arseholes.

Managed to get my son one right next to the other with an amazing amount of luck.

I would say there were a good 4000 to 5000 tickets available.

All my years as a kid, I prayed to one day have a season ticket. All the years living out of London in my 20s, I wished to have one. Now I’ve been down here for 10 years and at the grand old age of 40, I’ve finally got my hands on one: I feel oddly ambivalent. Not just at the current state of the club, but also the thought of having to actually leave the house on a regular basis! Age is a terrible thing. Anyway, I’ll give it a go for a year at least: a life ambition fulfilled if nothing else. Area 451 ?

You will enjoy the experience. I didn't get one until in my sixties after a lifetime of supporting and thoroughly enjoyed a few years of having one. I guess I wouldn't have given it up this year if a few years younger but its nice to see long term supporters getting the same chance I had
