For drinking games which included Defoe being offside, you'd have already drunk a few tonight

Spurs drinking game sounds like a great idea.

Dawson raking crossfield ball - shot
Defoe offside - shot
Spurs corner fails to make it past first man - jagerbomb

We'd all be smashed just based on those rules!

This is a great idea

Lloris beats striker to ball - shot
Bale booked for diving - shot
Walker error leads to a goal - pint of top shelf

I wonder if when you look up "annoying" in the dictionary, there's a picture of Parker doing a Pirouette.

It's just a reference to the Harry J and the Allstars song.

But I do like a drink. My drug of choice.

Don't cane it so much nowadays, though....

Isn't that a Chelsea song? (they come out to it and have done since the 70s I believe) interesting choice for a Spurs forum (like having You'll never walk alone)

From Wiki:
""Way back in 1969, supporters of the Chelsea football team revered players such as Bonetti, Osgood and Hollins. The boys performed under the watchful eye of manager Dave Sexton to the tune of Harry J & All Stars chartbuster, 'The Liquidator'.
The Liquidators were one of Chelsea's smaller football firms."

Are you saying that's as recognisable as YNWA?

You compared them.
indeed I did

In regards to the fact they are both songs adopted by rival clubs

You (mis)interpreted to mean I was comparing their level of notoriety or the extent to which they are synonymous with the respected clubs.

I said it's like (yes compared them) not it's exactly the same as (where by all aspects would have to be similar) and I most certainly did not mean its similar in the level of which the two songs are well known to be related to each clubs

It is however still a song that is famous enough in it's own right and it's own link to Chelsea (not least being attached to a football hooligan firm of their's) and while not as famous a connection as the Liverpool one it's more than famous enough that any Spurs fan who has watched us play at Stamford bridge will have heard Chelsea coming out to it

(or indeed even watching sky coverage of a Chelsea game it can be heard) and it's not unreasonable to assume a Spurs fan has watched Spurs play at Stamford bridge before to therefore have an awareness of their connection to the song (especially as they've already made reference to their knowledge of the song itself, so it's not like they'd just hear the song and have no clue what the tune was)

I don't think it's CFC related - not from my POV, anyway. It used to be everywhere, Wolves, WBA, Bristol City I think. I have certainly heard it at many grounds. It's a ska song from the late 60s, my bro listened to all that stuff so I was weaned on it.

Have only been to Stamford Bridge twice - and having nearly got beaten up for being the only person in the West Stand to stand up and cheer a Defoe goal ('luckily' for me we lost), I'm not keen to return.

The CFC equivalent of YNWA is surely 'Blue is the Colour', or that 'Celery' song, or that Russian music they now play before the start??? Who cares about f***ing Chavski, anyway.

I don't think it's CFC related .
It's been the song that announces them on to the pitch every home game since 1969 and they named one of their hooligan firms after it, yea its been used by other clubs but so has Glory Glory... and If you know you're history but they're both still associated with our club regardless

It's not sung in the stands like the songs you mentioned because it's an instrumental but I'm pretty sure it's heavily associated to their club for the reasons I mentioned (although not as definitively as You'll never walk alone is to Liverpool for example as that's synonomus)

Anyway all this is off subject for a very important thread about Scott Parker and his ballet moves and is obviously getting Yid121's little panties in a twist by the way he has to rate spam to every non parker ballet related post

I'm going 4 standard pirouettes and for an extra bonus point i think one more of them will occur with no opposition player within at least 10 yards of him a time of said pirouette. (So 5 in total)
