JJ said this theory was wrong.

The reality is we're probably not close to signing anyone and that's why we're not hearing anything.
I must disagree, not that I know anything, but Grey Fox did give you a "disagree"

so now, the sessegnon rumour is now dead and he is not coming?
Not dead, he just has more options. I'm sure some of them will be offering him far more than they should be though. I think we are now paying the price a bit for getting Dele so cheap and easily. The other heavyweights do not want a repeat of that happening.

Thanks for the info. My hope rests on him, his family and his professional advisers paying serious thought to all the positives of joining us; a young, upwardly mobile team, a coach with a great record for developing young English talent and playing them if they're ready, not if they're old enough. Being in London, where his family are, must also be a selling point.

Perhaps he is just taking a holliday and will make his decision on his return.

Perhaps he is taking his time to make a very important decision, that is best for him in the long term.

Perhaps he is just playing all the clubs off against each other to see who will give him the most cash.

All of these are plausible as to why the info has slowed, doesn't mean we are no longer in the race.

He has just been called up for the England U19s tournament, so could well be part of it. Good performance there may end up pricing us out of it...

Big clubs already in the mix, if it comes down to £££ we are already out if the running IMO.

Gotta say that alot of the noise at the moment really isn't all that positive. Goes to show how that supposed lure of Champions league football means very little if you can't line a players bank balance.

Perhaps he has an international football tournament to compete in and that takes priority.

Totally agree with you @Trix

I think people just need to chill and wait to see what happens.

I'm getting too old to double guess what's going to happen and stress about something out of my control.

Maybe its gone quiet a bit because he is focussing on this rather than a move?

If he's a professional player and do this at his age rather than thinking of the bright lights of a big move to the Premier League then that really is a good trait. More of a reason why we should try hard for him too.
