Ryan Sessegnon believes Antonio Conte’s brutal fitness regime at Tottenham is enabling him to finally realise his potential. The 22-year-old is revelling in playing under head coach Conte as he looks to cement himself in the Spurs line-up, having joined from Fulham in 2019.

Is he?

Lost out poorly on a header that led to leicester's second goal at the weekend. He's still got a long way to go if you ask me.

Lots of them are making individual mistakes, in fact you can pick one out for every player on the pitch over the last 2 or 3 games.

True. He's just not pushing on enough for me though overall. Give him the season though and see how he does. I think the fact he is home grown helps him a lot. Anyway, hopefully he lifts his game on with more matches this season, if he does I will be happily surprised. It will solve a lot of problems for us.

The England carrot should be dangled in front of his face, whilst I don't rate him that highly, if Southgate is playing a 352 then he has to be in his thinking. It isn't like we are blessed with lots of players who can play that position effectively.

Udogie is impressing everyone at Udinese.

I'm afraid my jury is still very much out on Ryan. He just hasn't produced anything very much to convince me that he is the dominant LWB to make that role his own for the next few seasons. Perisic is 33 years old and won't be here more than another season or two at most.

Ryan's crossing is not great (and at speed, no good at all) and his defensive qualities I'm afraid still leave much to be desired.

Next season of course, we'll see the arrival of Destiny Udogie from Udinese. I've watched him play a few times since it was announced we'd signed him and he does look like a real prospect as a LWB, although he's still only 19. It'll be very interesting to see who of the three grabs that spot and makes it their own. If you're good enough, you're old enough, right?

The strange thing about Sessengon is how good he looked for Fulham and how he has looked like a different player since. He was a major prospect when we signed him, one of the most highly rated players in his age group who demonstrated his calibre in mens football, albeit mainly the Championship, whereas now it feels like we will be quite happy if he turns out average. He still has plenty of time and he seems to have a decent attitude but I think we would be looking to upgrade unless he improves significantly over the next year or two.
