This is very true and has been noted many times that we cannot deal very well if at all with being pressed, and yet it is a part of our game that we do well only not in reverse.Another example of teams pressing us at the back and more importantly, pressing us as soon as the CM’s get the ball.
Fact is we can’t handle it, no matter who the opposition is and I would be very surprised if other teams don’t gradually pick up on this.
Obviously without Dembele and Eriksen on the field this impacts us even more as the likes of Sissoko, Wanyama and Dier are simply not comfortable with receiving the ball to feet and playing one touch football. When Dembele is on the pitch this is mitigated somewhat, but even against Newport the press of the opposition upset his rhythm.
We need to get wise to it and either anticipate the tactic or adapt mid game.
Moura first startMoura, Son... We did create chances, we just over complicated things too much. If Llorente and Wanyama took theirs we'd have gone through comfortably.
Ohhh...but it goes over the bar. Hard to imagine a more inviting open goal opportunity. Its a tap in for the Sissy haters!!
12pm kick off too. Hopefully the palace fans will still be asleep. They’re quite raucous at a night game.
I totally agree - This has been a big factor most of the season.Another example of teams pressing us at the back and more importantly, pressing us as soon as the CM’s get the ball.

I wasn't absolving Sissoko. It was a lack of defensive effort on both their parts but it's job 1 for the RB. We just weren't at the races as a team today.
How Poch let us be outnumbered in the MF all day is annoying. Someone needs to be in the hole to (want to) pick up the ball from Winks and Wanyama. Neither can penetrate the lines reliably like Dembele. Eriksen or Lamela, it's simple but apprently Poch doesn't see it that way.
People are missing the bigger picture here, as a club we are making lifelong dreams come true by repeatedly allowing crap players to play at Wembley.
These days football is all about money and greed and I, for one, am glad we're giving something back...I was made up for that fat lad who waddled on to score the equaliser.

Alexandra.Takes me back to 1960 when we drew 2-2 with Crewe Alexander andthen won the replay 13-2 you never know!
Anyway play the same eleven in the replay and we'll win the game.
Them too.Alexandra.
Didn't seem to worry Moura? Son gets no slack for the same problem he has had from day 1 with us. His first touch is completely unreliable and on the dribble he often leaves the ball behind. It is a problem. Even more of a problem for him when a new player in your position upstages you in his first start.Don't hate on son
The pitch was carp
So Mrs Lincoln, besides that, what did you think of the play?He was robbed of possession for their first goal, apart from that, nothing (imo)
