what a great buy for city! was hoping he'd stay though because a lot of the time he played he was being carried by the team so they were playing with 10 men a lot of the time. be interesting to see how big a loss they make on him when they sell him in the summer

The interesting thing is, City are still paying his wages and bonuses. Great move for Santos. Maybe the move to Brazil will get the best out of him as it did Adriano.

What I think we should remember is that nobody took Man City seriously at the time and then they snatched Robhino from Chelsea when that deal was all but done and from then on Man City was a player in the eyes of world football, I know they dipped out on Kaka but people did take that bid seriously so I think they can look back on the Robhino deal with mixed feelings but certainly a very large positive in there too.

Actually his wages are going to be paid by sponsors organised by Santos. About 3-4 businesses apparently.

It's a sensible move all round. Robinho is a lazy so and so, always has been - even when with Santos before.

He'll do quite well back in Brazil, but Santos aren't full of quality players like last time he was there, no Diego, no Alex etc.... - so i doubt he'll set the world alight. Plus with the likes of Adriano, Ronaldo and Vagner Love back in Brazilian football, he may well find himself upstaged by some of these players.

He'll probably do enough to make the Brazil squad - but IF Man City can sell him afterwards they struggle to make anything more than £10m on him.

He is and always has been way too lightweight for the premier league, i've said this since his early Santos years.
