Good athlete in the sense that he's got a bit of pace maybe, but he's starting to look out of his depth on a technical level as we have continued to evolve. He's also the finest athlete on our team, rivaled only by Walker. He has his room for improvement, but he's turned into a very good modern fullback.
Never seen this kid play, but I'm glad we're looking down the pipeline already. I feel for Ogilvie though, as it seems as if things had been coming along for him in the last year, last I checked.

Not sure about the best, but certainly one of. I agree with the bolded bit as well - he's obviously a very confident young man (why wouldn't he be?!) and doesn't hide the fact.Rose is the best left back in the league, imvho - no troll. Monreal has been this year, but other the past two seasons Rose has been.
People dislike him because he skulks around like he's got a really shit attitude
Agree with this. He's very underrated but at the same time I think the general level of left backs in the league and even the world tends to be pretty low. Last season I thought Azpilcueta was very overhyped and solid at best in a very defensive-minded Chelsea side. Kolarov is decent, Moreno is hit and miss so for me Rose has got to be right up there, one of the best PL left backs in 2015 for me but he doesn't receive that recognitionRose is the best left back in the league, imvho - no troll. I don't want to come across as thinking Rose is perfect, because I don't. I think you're right to point out his cons but I think he offers a lot of pros to counter that. We always look much better in an attacking sense, and not particularly worse in a defensive sense, when Rose plays over Davies. He he an athlete in the way that he is quick and fit, which seems to be the main thing to point out of a modern day full back over their mentality. He is also a very committed player. Not afraid of a challenge which is something I still feel we lack in our squad. I just feel that the Rise is a pretty good player who is in an era where full backs - particularly left backs are very exposed and he's in a league where the general standard is pretty low, making him one of the best in the league. He's came on leaps and bounds from the 13-14 season where I genuinely thought he was shockingIn response to both of you I do not rate Rose the way you both do. I think his concentration levels and positional sense as a defender is quite poor, often caught on the wrong side of the offensive player. His distribution overall is not that great if one studies closely, and that alone has us on the back foot more than we should be. Davies is a far superior player, only his lack of pace putting Rose in front of him. I am by no means advocating we sell him though,
I have understand your point and agree on certain things you say. Great example is his sloppy concentration and needless suicidal handball against Newcastle, and when he had the opportunity to pick out one of three players running into the box, did neither nor did he work the keeper; at that point would of been a different game. These are lessons he should of learnt rather than learning. Stuart Pearce and Gary Neville had no pace by their own admission, and was the best in their position when they played.I don't want to come across as thinking Rose is perfect, because I don't. Very true. I actually find it's matches against the somewhat 'lesser' opponents he's less mentally switched on. Maybe it's due to complacency, who knows, but he's not as switched on. His passing and silly errors are very frustrating but as I keep saying, I just find that's a general problem with full backs these days. I think a Rose/Davies combination would make a very good left back! Would be Cole-esque of you take their positives and would make Zeki Fryers look good if you combined their negatives!I have understand your point and agree on certain things you say. Looks like #thfc technical scout Rob Mackenzie sat next to David Pleat at Coventry on Tues (watching Rico Henry)
As I've said before, I've just got a gut feeling that this will heat up towards the end of the window similar to Alli and we'll sign him. Everything I've read suggests he's the sort of player that Poch will love. A lot of teams both in the Championship and PL want him supposedly so we're probably going to have to be quick if we do want him.Pleat and Mackenzie scouting would suggest we might be very serious about him.
