We are talking about this match, not any match already played this season or any last Season. So paint it anyway you want it still boils down to bias. The points you made about his playing ability might be true but he was still better than most of our players on the day. What does that tell us about the performance of the others? Since they were worse shouldn't they be the ones to be criticised for this match. As I said it all boils down to your bias against Sissoko. My bias?? What? I want every player to do well for us. I have no bias. I picked him out because he is (always) being debated in the match thread and I wanted to put my point across that I understand why people are giving him praise, just that I don’t agree with it. I didn’t think he was terrible, I’m saying that power and pace doesn’t make a good footballer if every other part of your game is poor.
In my opinion, Sissoko was so bad for us last season that whenever he has an average game now, it’s looked upon as a good game because of how bad he’s been. It’s nothing to do with bias and that’s just a really weird comment. If I feel he’s not good enough, I’ll say so.
He has the worst control in the team. He struggles to pass well unless it’s backwards. He has no awareness of what’s around him and doesn’t have a good football brain. I challenge you to prove any of those points wrong. For everything he did well yesterday, he did just as much poorly. Watch the full 90 minutes back if you think I’m exaggerating. As I said, he comes across as a nice guy on twitter etc and I have nothing against him personally, I just feel he’s a poor player, or at least that he hasn’t done it for us so far. I’d love him to prove me wrong but I don’t think he’s good enough to play regularly for a top team. Nothing to do with bias.
