Let me just get it clear, you want some sort of index for match rating threads?

Easiest way would be a new subforum.

We can set it to be in creation order if we wanted to.

I thought it made sense to use it as an archive (i.e. we move the last one when a new one is started).

Happy to do it however people want though.

Yeah what's happening now makes more sense actually :)

Can someone also go through each one & add up all the ratings & aggregate them out to each player so we can keep a running tab on their performances that would be great too mkay thanks (y)

Wasn't sure how we wanted to do it with different seasons. We'll have a think and see.

Seasons would be the ideal but even just chronological would be good because you can work out the season from the date

Just a suggestion but to keep it clean and simple, wouldn't it make sense to distinguish between current and past seasons? We have 60-70 or so matches a season, including pre-season games so the way I see it, in the Match Ratings sub-forum you could have:

1) Match Ratings threads from the current season, which would be up to 60 or so - these could be set to be shown chronologically rather than by latest post; and
2) 'Stickied' individual posts for each season (at the top), with each post containing 60 or so links to the ratings threads from that particular season. You could then choose to keep or remove threads relating to previous seasons in the main Match Ratings sub-forum.

Or would that require too much work - both creating and, more importantly, maintenance-wise?

Can we not have a separate sticky at the top of the page for ratings threads. They are a constant of this forum and a great reference point, but often it's hard to track down a particular one.

It would be great to be able to have them stacked in chronological order in one sticky thread.

Even better if some kind soul would go back through the back catalogue and put as many from as far back as possible.

As an incentive I'll donate £10 to SC if this happens. Maybe if anyone else likes the idea they could make a pledge too, to the point it becomes worth someone's effort ?

I have all the poll results for the last 5 years in a chart at least for the games when there was a poll. I can tell you who has had the most MOTM's as voted for by SC, although it's not hard to guess. Guessing 2nd might be a little more tricky.
