I'm really confused how we got to this point that he's going to arsenal ? we have put a significant bid in

Just some reports in Spain that Leeds have a £60m bid on the table from an English club and have told Barca they are tired of rating.

Seems to have been implied that it is Arsenal not us.

Would rather Carrasco. Hoping the reports in AS and Mirror that we have sent a proposal to Madrid is true hence why not bid yet for Raphinha

I'd be happy about either. I think Carrasco makes more sense given his versatility, but I can see the allure of both. If we end the window with Carrasco or Raphinha, we've done incredibly well.

People really think he would go to arse only because their sporting director is Brazilian lol. Arsenal and Leeds may agree a deal, but no way he choses them over us.

Arsenal seem to want everyone knowing that they are bidding for everyone. Whereas Tottenham seem to be doing a lot more low key moves.

Something to bear in mind.

Absolutely, but neither of those players are the 20-25 goal a season striker they actually need.
They don’t need a 20-25 goal a season striker.
Their top goal scorer last season In PL was Saka with 12 goals. They finished 2 points from 4th. I don’t think it’s a huge necessity to have a striker who scored 20-25 goals for them.

For them, it’s a team contribution.

IF it is arsenal, where the shit they getting their money? 35mil on vieira, 45/50m jesus, 50/60m raphina & they still apparently want tielemans & zinchenko?

In typical fashion, people have jumped on the back of one Tweet from an Arsenal WUM, who is quoting a "Tier 5" reporter. I'm sure you've been around Spurs fans long enough to know we like to overreact ?

It's a good point really. With Arsenal's first bid Ornstein broke the news and talked through the process. If this doesn't break soon it's likely to be coming from us (as per Longari). Certainly fits our MO more.

Scum can bid all they want, would imagine if we at least match that bid and add CL football we are immediately in a stronger position and that's before you offer AC over Arteta, no contest.

To be honest it would not have to be a bidding war, if the fee has been set (Leeds accepting a bid say from Arsenal) we just have to match it as it will then come down to where the player wants to go to due to wage offers etc.

One way to look at it. Or, their top scorer was on 12 goals and they finished just outside fourth. So if they had a 20 goal striker, they would've made top 4.

Oh they're considering our bid...Nice!

Think the twitter one is made up bollock.

No way Arsenal submit a bid if player has indicated he'd join us...hence we've put in a bid.
