Ramos is used to spending thriftily and won't be used to squillions being spent. I expect to see our squad thinned out - ie three strikers - and some older players coming in to provide stability and leadership. The likes of Naybet will be more evident next season, count on it.

Not if Levy has anything to say about it. Remember that pesky sell-on value bit?

If Ramos is as good as he's supposed to be, he should have no problems restoring Robbo's confidence. After all, that is why we have sacked Jol, and brought him in, isn't it?

A goalkeeper is obvious, but we do need to help our inexperienced center halves and a good experienced gk should do that.

Also a leader or two, prefferably in center mid.

From what I've heard, players with talent will be given drive and determination by Ramos so the likes of Berbi and Chimb's should only get better.

I don't.

We need a keeper who will be good NOW, not in maybe a few years time. We already have Alnwick gaining experience for that role at Luton. Kasper has just been loaned to Cardiff anyway.

Boruc from Celtic is my pick.

Last season during the transfer window, Ramos wanted to sign both Zokora and Chimbonda, so this is two players he probably will use a lot when he takes charge at Spurs.

Thats a good point. He must have seen something in them when we played.

surely it would just be cheaper to get in a quality goalkeeping coach?

i don't believe robbo has just lost everything. maybe a new coach for him too will sort him out

Well given Segers has gone you'd expect that Ramos will be bringing in his own man in that department...

2 seasons ago Robbo was immense for us. Last season he started to lose some confidence and this season it has deepened, but thats due to the fact that the whole team has lost confidence. However, Robbo is still class and still is young enough to learn. We just need a half decent goalkeeping coach. It cant be chance that both our keepers have little confidence and not so hot on postioning on set pieces or crosses!

We don't always need to buy expensive to get quality players. If we want to buy a goalkeeper, I think Kenneth Vermeer of Ajax is a good goalkeeper.

Agreed on Diego, top class playmaker, but not sure if Werder would let him go, it'd be for big bucks anyway.

Cast iron proof that Commoli' has 'The sight' & can see into the future (the dark side of the force) Thus he brought both players, having foreseen the future appointment of Ramos. And with the boards, new found confidence in Commoli' transfer dealings, after the Board learns, their 'Chosen One' Ramos targeted the players above. Strengthening Commoli' position, allowing him to continue his evil plan to gain complete control of the club, and slowly destroy THFC. All under the secret guidance of his former mentor & his true master .................... "The Dark Lord Wenger" Who (with his former Padowans help) having crushed the Blue & White opposition. Condemn the entire North London galaxy to a dark, depressing future under the rule of the evil Red Empire:-|:-|:-|

There would be no point in signing him as because he's a goalkeeper for the future hence why Ajax have loaned him out to Willem II. Also we've got Alnwick.

How ironic!

The favourites in the end got Jol the sack....Robinson and Dawson. It was very obvious the coaching staff where not paying attention to our back 5, many if i remember correctly where going on about the midfield but the stats will clearly show our defending from set pieces was 3rd division. I also believe without Defoe playing up front another form of defending was lost throughout the team. If you watch Defoe his the only striker to really defend from the front i.e closing and chasing opposing defenders into mistakes.

Hope Ramos can sort it out.
