Fair play to the lads, full title tilt next season with no Europe to worry about next year. Masterstroke.

Top four seems as though it has gone but fifth or sixth is still within our reach if we make a change and turn things around. Playing in the Europa League in recent seasons has not prevented the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, and United from bringing in their targeted signings and it wouldn't be a death knell for us either. It's not as though we have a brilliant track recruitment record as CL qualifiers anyway. For me we ought to be shooting for EL qualification as we continue to rebuild the squad, but there's absolutely no hope of it at all unless we get a fresh start and soon.

Can we rename this 'race for 3 points'?

West Ham have just been pumped in their last 2 games against very mediocre opposition.

If we go there and get beaten...

Sack this fucking thread off. Embarassing

Third of the way through the season and we’re behind Burnley, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Sheffield United, Brighton and Palace. And that’s aftrer a very generous opening set of home fixtures too.

Top 4? Fuck off mate! Lucky to finish top fucking 10 as it stands.

Then nothing will happen. Had far worse results than that so far this season with zero consequence. Not sure what’s going on. The club need to come out and be honest. If we’re happy to have a terrible season then say it. At least that way the fans can take that sort of approach in to account if and when they choose to renew their season tickets/memberships and if they decide to spend money at the actual stadium ( we’ve boycotted that already )

If we don't beat Sheffield United next Saturday, you might as well close this thread bud.

I don't particularly want Europa Cup either but might be useful to integrate all the copious amounts of top class, proven talent players Levy and ENIC will be buying for us this January and in the summer
I stand by this from last week. Top 4 is gone now.

I think Top 6 is gone as well, though I haven't written it off completely just yet.

Too early to write it off yet, but we need to get our act sorted very quickly.

I think Leicester would struggle massively with a Vardy injury.
Not too early because not only would our form have to almost immediately change from relegation to league winning form( with absolutely no sign of that happening) but one of the teams in the top 4 would have to have a dramatic and sustained collapse in form at the same time, as well as none of the other teams above us having as good a run as us. It's like the reverse of last season when we were Leiester/Chelsea and were sitting pretty at Xmas only to totally collapse in the new year but we somehow managed to keep top 4 by just winning the odd game here and there and relying on our rivals to slip up . Top 4 has gone. a complete revival in the second half of the season would potentially lift us to 5th-8th at best.
