Question about tickets (FA Cup)

I think everyone is pointing the finger at Tottenham regarding the ticket system. In all fairness if the FA gave us the correct allocation there would not be this problem.

All the allocation should go to spurs and Chelsea supporters not the rich man or the company who offer the most money to the FA.

I think the ticket system worked just fine.

I think the issue comes down to not knowing how it works. When I say that, I used the system for a season before becoming a Season Ticket holder and now go on it for mates and get their tickets who are members so I use it quite often. I know you need to get on there at a certain time to hit a queue, that you only get 30 mins to select and buy your tickets and you need your my network set up to do this. Also that firefox works best on my laptop followed by chrome which is a bit fiddly at assigning and sometimes at getting the stadium plans up followed finally by Internet Explorer which pretty much doesn’t work. I also had all 3 browsers up, logging on one after the other in a 10 minute stint after getting in the queue in case when I first got in the system crashed due to demand, one of the other browsers should free up after 30 mins to allow me in.

Basically, many ST holders won’t have witnessed this system on Champions League sales for example. When there are 1000 tickets and 30000 people trying to get them!

No, the system isn’t ideal, it does crash when overloaded like most, but if you’ve used it a few times, you kind of get a grasp on what you need to do to get on there before anyone else!

On our old seatbooker system I used to also be able to get into stadium plans which they made invisible with the ability to see which seats were available so you could phone them up and request those seats and they would sell them to you despite saying not on sale!

It could be worse, we could have Chelsea’s system of “pick a price bracket, we’ll give you a seat”!

Nearly same for me. Student, no job, living in Germany trying my best to bring me and sometimes girlfriend (still going to school) to some games. Managed to go to Manchester and visit city and Stoke vs. Spurs, was possible to finance Spurs vs. Everton and going to the last game of the season against Fulham. I spent about 600 pounds for 3 Spurs games this season and think it is worth it and would be going to Wembley for sure.....if there would be a possibility for a ticket which is not more expensive than 100 pounds.

But with this ticketing system (I don't know a better solution and accept it as fair in a way) I have no chance at all ever to get the chance to support my club at Wembley through Loyality points system.

Maybe a possibility a lottery system for 1000-2000 tickets for Bonze members with at least 30/50 LPs

Top man for making the effort:up:

Once you finish education and land yourself a decent job it will become easier.

Any other members get a "high priority ticket purchase" email last night and logged on to find it was only the bloody reconfirmation for the Norwich game. I know they always send one, but i did miss a few heartbeats before i realised..............

Right, I took one for the team and emailed the ticket office yesterday to ask how long it was going to be and got "in the next two days". Who's going to step up to the plate this morning?

It's the same for me, although to a lesser extent, as with every day I wait train and coach prices from Bristol are racheting up. Still, I'm not complaining, if I get a ticket, I'll be overjoyed.
I have absolutely no idea on points though. The last three Wembley appearances have been something like 125, 150 and 130, but it's a year later, we apparently have more season ticket holders this season, it's Chelsea and the application period has been shorter. What effect these things have nobody really knows.

It's only a semi too. I hope the desperation to go is not that bad. Especially considering the amount of FA cup semi's we've lost in the last 20 years.....

I've been to all five. What a bock....

Ah mate.. I've seen Spurs at Wembley twice, clocked up 240 minutes and not seen a single Spurs goal, but you trump that!

Getting pretty tired of this waiting now. I'm sure there is a lot for the club's ticket office to do to ensure no mistakes are made, but if they had simply told us a time for the announcement/confirmations to begin with it would make the waiting that much easier and less frustrating.

Luckily, I went in 91, but only 2 of the others were at Wembley. Old trafford twice and Elland Road in 95. We actually played terribly in all 5 as well.

So the points requirement was a very low 134, that's surprising.

Well surely that sets the precedent for the future, epsecially with the new loyalty points system being introduced next season - if its only 134 for an FA Cup Semi v Chelsea at Wembley only playing Arsenal would beat that imo.
