Just best in general. I didn't take form etc into account when I made mine. Was just thinking last night which team I would put on the pitch if I could pick and chose from all the PL clubs.

That's a bit of an odd way to do it though mate, you'd end up with people picking Torres on how good he used to be.

Surely form comes into it though?

Well, yeah, you're probably right - but it's pretty much a "dream team" of the current PL players, i.e who would you chose (injures etc notwithstanding). I've got Kaboul in my team because I firmly believe he's one of the best CBs in the league, but he hasn't played a game so far due to injuries - Torres is just shit.

Didn't realize he had played 12 games, thought it'd much fewer starts.

Would the la Liga team win it as easily as they would on paper?

It would be a very interesting tournament to have at the end of each season. The fans/papers vote on a team of the year and they all face each other in a short tournament. Manager of the season to coach the team.

I would imagine that the La Liga team would win, seeing as it'd be players from just two teams and they'd probably be able to play on a good level pretty quickly. But if you throw in a minimum amount of teams that must be represented I think that the PL team would win, it's such an even league.
