They've both gifted it to City. Watch them now relentlessly grind it out.

Hope they do their thing but I'm not going in yet.

Arsenal play twice in the league before City play again so could yet go 4 clear. Let's hope the city juggernaut begins to pick up pace

And not only that, we've two weeks to stew on that loss and prepare under a manager who will demand improvement.

The atmosphere will be biggest yet at the new ground I think.

Honestly think we've a good chance of beating them.

we are also their third game of a 3 game week. They should be pretty tired physically, plus hopefully mentally too if they drop more points.

Had forgot about their Chelsea game, yes thats a great shout.

We've been so poor starting games recently, surely Agne gets them up for attacking a tired and drained side from the off...

Ha, just saw an old mate (Chelsea fan) giving Arsenal and Liverpool shit on Facebook.
When I pointed out that it's a bit rich for him to be taking the piss while sat in 9th, having spent a billion quid on players...suddenly he's not really that bothered about "numb-ball" anyway and doesn't even bother to watch it. Only supports Chelsea because of his dad?!

What the fuck is wrong with people? And I say that about an old mate of mine.
Seriously, if you don't even bother about the game, don't start trying to give it out on social media.

I get this with West Ham fans. Not even did I not know they were west ham fans, I didn't even know they were interested in football. When there was that season it looked like they might challenge for Top 4 for a bit... always talking about football, posting "Irons" on facebook... then... nothing.

A draw would have been an ideal result given we still have a game in hand. Nevertheless it was a joy to see the look on the faces of the Emirates regulars as those Villa goals went in. Shades of their collapse last season.
I know the game is lost but still it’s a bit disgraceful how empty the stadium is in the final minutes. Call themselves supporters?? More like glory hunters.

Agree. If you don't really give a toss about football, don't suddenly start giving "opposing" teams shit because they've lost.
Just go back to posting pictures of Tom Hardy and Peaky Blinders, while talking about how true a man you are.
Fucking bellends.

It's actually really amusing because this week people who have previously been well against Arsenal winning the league started to say that they now think they will.

Only for them to lose the first game after 🤣

BBC headline asks has yesterdays results turned the tide Manchester City's way?
I wasn't aware the tide was ever against them.

It's just can we attract the same calibre of player. We all know Ange saying it doesn't matter but does he genuinely that?
Even taking out the ability to attract the players It's a massive increase in budget. Probably the difference between bringing in 4 and 6 required players, or a couple of top tier targets over potential.

I get what Ange is saying, but CL is without question is a boost to what we are trying to achieve.

Every time Ange says he doesn't care about finishing in the CL places this season, I wonder what the expression on Levy's face is when he hears it. I understand the point Ange is trying to make about growth etc but sometimes it feels like he's pushing a bit too hard against it and that he actively doesn't want to be in the CL next season.

For sure; Wenger got hounded for it when he was at the tail-end of his Arsenal career, but he was spot-on when he compared T4 to winning a trophy, particularly for that Arsenal team at that time, when they had a huge stadium debt and needed to compete.

I don't think we're ready for it, and perhaps we'd be better suited in the Europa League, but the financial aspect, the ability to attract players, shouldn't be dismissed so easily, even if I understand where Ange is coming from completely. I'm not sure I'd call it naivety, but it is emblematic of his ethos in general. He's got his stance on football, the way it should be played, and it's admirable, but these doubts will continue to creep in when results don't go our way.
