City looking more like the City of old today. Sterling in particular looking good.

Also for the first time in a while their defence actually looks very impressive (on paper at least). Walker Dias Laporte Cancelo is probably the best back 4 in the league now that Liverpool's is broken.

Eh. Sheffield are very poor. City can still be had.

SHU have absolutely no threat in behind the few times they have a chance to counter. I haven't seen Brewster much but McBurnie certainly isn't quick so surely Brewster has to make those runs?

He should be playing for us
We were supposedly tracking him ever since he signed for Gent, I don't know why we didn't go for him but he'd be superb in our midfield. Workrate of Sissoko and far superior ball skills.

Sheffield Utd look a different team to last season the bits I’ve seen. Not the same confidence.

As soon as betting opened for this season I put a few bob on them going down at a good odds. They looked iffy for a lot of post-lockdown games (despite beating us and Chelsea) and I just had a hunch that they would do an Ipswich and go from top half first season to straight down in the second.

Clearly my FPL flyer on Brewster is not it. I need to reboot my team and already used the free hit. Sad.

ITK that Poch didn't fancy him??

I think so. He's obviously come on a lot at SHU as for Gent and Vålerenga as a kid he was more a pure holding mid, but I felt at the time Poch was wrong and the level he's since reached is a sort of proof of that.

I put a lot of our squad staleness down to Poch more than Levy but that's another discussion.

SU will be in the scrap of their lives this season.

City looking a bit better but they're still way off two seasons ago, way off.
