Put this in the Skriniar thread but thought it's also relevant here re the defence point.

No team is good in defence this season. Many good in attack including us but none good at defending. Don't think we will, but if we did put the money down for this guy and it made us more solid at the back we could be looking at a really good season. If not, hopefully the lads we have can cut out the mistakes. If we can defend well it's there for the taking this year. Really believe that

Did Covid make everyone forget how to defend?

First time I have looked at the table and I hadn't realised Villa have won all 3 games so far. Fair play, that's a hell of a turnaround after last season. Fun to watch as well.

I dread to say it but let's hope they don't become Leicester mk 2

Notice how teams who have quietly gone about and done some incredible transfers this summer are doing well so far.

Villa and Everton both done very good deals this summer but its early days, the international break has come at a bad time for both of them would say.

Think it's 7-4 when Portsmouth played Reading but could be wrong
That is the game featuring most goals in the PL era.

The biggest wins/defeats in the PL era are Man United 9-0 Ipswich and Southampton 0-9 Leicester.

It ties with losing 1-6 to Stoke in Gerrard's farewell game and 0-5 to Man City as Liverpool's heaviest ever PL defeat. Their biggest top division defeat ever is 2-9 to Newcastle in 1934, and their biggest defeat all time is 1-9 to Birmingham in 1954, in the Second Divison.

And the biggest First Division win ever is 12-0, West Bromwich Albion 12–0 Darwen (4 April 1892) and Nottingham Forest 12–0 Leicester Fosse (21 April 1909)

I was amazed how Klopp was able to just keep smiling in the Villa game.

If that even on Football Manager I'd have been in a foul mood
