lmfao. april fools? wouldn't have even made the top 5 ffs, even at his own club. de bruyne has been head and shoulders above everyone.
I think De Bruyne has been a victim of his own high standards this season. He has been unplayable in most games, and as you say should have won this award (and most others) without debate. Yet due to the fact that he's been so good for a few years now he has been overlooked.

It's like how Kane has only won our POTS once.

I think henderson should win it. I dont get the vitriol. He has been pretty immense for them this season. Doesnt mean he is the best footballer fucks sakes just means he is footballer of the year.

KDB has been also good and either he or Henderson deserved it but no qualms about the result.

It means exactly that, the best footballer of the year. If it was captain of the year or most improved player then fair enough.

Its not the best footballer of the year though - it is footballer of the year. Its a bit like the sports personality of the year - thats how i see it anyways. He has certainly grown in terms of being a good player who contributes both inside and outside of the team and football pitch.

I hate liverpool so i have no bias whatsoever but i see it for what it is...

New season confirmed to start on the 12th September and finish on May 23rd.

Wouldn’t be a bad thing if they aimed to make that the usual calendar from now on. It means there will have to be a lot more midweek games though, so something is going to have to give somewhere. I’m guessing the League cup might get curtailed or cancelled.

I like having the games in the summer. It's fine here I guess but mainland Europe gets so much hotter. Games from April to September would be good.

Wasn't there some talk that the teams in Europe won't take part in the league cup?

This could have been the perfect time to reorganise the whole calendar. Could have had the season running February to November or something.

But when would you have World Cups and the Euros?

A world cup in Europe in December just doesn't have the same effect.
