Even outside the Spurs bubble, watching football at the moment is just so soul-sucking.

More and more dominated by money and the introduction of VAR has done absolutely nothing to make the game fairer.

Greenwood is a hell of a player at 18 years old.
His goal should be void like this whole match after the worst decision I’ve ever seen, that var backed it up I’m utterly shocked, the decision tonight against us was bad but this game fuuuuuuuuuck

They need to dispense with VAR altogether and merely have someone who signals to the match referee that a decision is questionable, which would then obligate the referee himself to take a second look at the video. The VARs in England have proven to be too cowardly to overturn their colleagues, there's this bizarre culture in the English game that the referee's decision is nearly absolutely correct that simply doesn't exist elsewhere.

In other sports there's no compunction whatsoever in overturning incorrect decisions, yet in English football it doesn't happen because the refs all have this God complex which leads them to believe they're completely and utterly infallible. Force the refs themselves to have a second look and you do away with the whole corrupt dynamic.

United are a completely different proposition theses days... Did it take 18 months to cleanse the previous managers poison

So at least Levy saved 10mil not buying Bruno. What a difference he has made to that team. He doing what Eriksen did for us.

BBC headline: Reaction after Man U thrash Villa.
I’d hardly call it a thrashing but whatever makes good headline news...

Holy shit - the decisions today. What a cluster fuck.

there's a massive crisis in refereeing right now. VAR has somehow made things worse than ever.

I originally thought it would level the playing field with decisions going the right way but seems to have given licence to do the exact opposite.

Not sure what it's like elsewhere but the PL implementation is horrendous

The Kane decision I think there's some plausible doubt. I mean there's at least a tiny case to be made that it's a "coming together"rather than a foul.

But the Fernandes and Southampton penalties were so categorically, fundamentally, obviously NOT PENALTIES that it causes a massive crisis that two Premier league refs couldn't get those decisions right even with video.

Complete and utter clusterfuck.
