so they just showed a still of the Utd player in the wall and his foot is beyond the last defender as Fernandes scores.. but it's not given as offside. I have it muted, but why was that not given?
He wasn't offside. I think Smith at the end of the wall on the far side was keeping him on.

Whisper it quietly but if he weren't captain I would think our talisman striker would be most in danger of losing his place if we don't have a significant upturn next season.

But as Kane's captain he'll probably play every minute anyway regardless of form, knowing Southgate.
Kane without form is still the best England player and this season he has 10 goals and 5 assist for England.

Not on the pic I saw. Matic's foot is angled in such a way to put his beyond the defender. If 'flat' along the line they would have been level.

Its baffling. We've had that Aurier goal at Leicester ruled out that wasn't as obvious as Matic there.

We're back to consistency again but I guess it will be forgotten about because its United.

But its ridiculous. Even with ruining the game and micro analysing everything they still make such an obvious mistake.

Manure are in the run of form we used to be.

Fucking Bruno

In 18 months of diabolical decisions made by our Club, the failure to sign Fernandes is possibly going to be the worst. Yes we got Lo Celso and Ndombele but what we needed to finish that CM rebuild was an Eriksen replacement. Now we're stuck with a dozen wingers and nobody to find the time, space and ball to give it to them.

I fucking hate hindsight but if I could go back in time to last summer I'd hold a gun to Levy's head and force him to sign Bruno.

Then, and only then, would I warn a certain wet market in Wuhan that they might want to check their Health and Safety :shifty:

I hope we're ready for someone to remind us of this every time he has a good game.

Annoying thought isn't it? It's like rejecting a girl because you didn't think she was all that and you had your eyes on another bird. Then she turns up on your mates arms looking miles fitter. Hurts.

How on earth are Man U now ten points ahead of us? Oh, that’ll be because of the impact BF has had, straight into the side and performing.
We really did buy the wrong midfielder didn’t we...

Gutting to think we had the chance to sign Bruno last summer and chose not too. Unbelievable really considering how poor our midfield is.

Are you sure we chose not to? Seems contradictory to "we tried to sign him". Maybe Levy was penny pinching which led to it not happening?

At least it seems like our recruitment isn't too bad if we're identifying such players (and Lo Celso and Bergwijn, etc).

Is it just getting in Bruno to change our fortunes or moreso a squad issue... I think squad

The lad is a freak. Just shows you what being a two footed footballer allows you to achieve.

Dele and Erik take note.

I think if you’re looking for the next edge in football. Getting a team together of genuinely two footed players could be along the same lines as pass and move, diet and fitness in progressing the game.

the angles it opens up, passing lanes became easier. You can’t really get boxed in. Defenders cant pre-empt or show you one way. I know people might say Messi is completely one footed but that guys a freak.

Do people really believe Bruno would fix the underlying squad problems this year? There's 10 other players on the pitch...

So far he's having a good game every game. That's the point. No settling in period. He starts every game from day one. He's creating chances, scoring goals and lifted the mood over there.

Still don't really understand what banging on about it every time is going to do.

When I posted my earlier comment I was expecting at least one reply along the lines of "but Messi" (who has still scored at least 85 right footed goals in his career and is as you said a freak of nature), and "it's better to have one amazing foot than two good ones", which for the reasons you give in your first paragraph is an opinion I completely disagree with.

Being as entirely one footed as players like Dele and Lamela appear to be is a huge hindrance.
