Some may say it’s a bit early to think of, but as you will see below, July is already pretty much completely booked.

Rather than have a number of threads on the subject, I thought it would be good to just have just the one. The way it can work then is that any new fixtures which people spot, if they post details on this thread, I (or a mod ?) will add them to the opening post so in one place we have an up to date picture of all the pre-season matches.

There are four sections at present :
  • First Team and Spurs X1 matches
  • Olympics (as this will afffect availability of some 1st team players)
  • Spurs Youth & Development squad fixtures
  • Youth internationals (as these will affect availability of some players).

There is usually a "glamour" match to finish off with against a bigger club. Hopefully a nice one this year.

I'd be surprised if we had a home friendly this year. Can't imagine the authorities would support it during the Olympics.

ESPN reporting that we're playing away at Valencia 9 days before season starts (Thursday 9th August) so don't know if this will take the place of the traditional glamour friendly the weekend before the season or be in addition to it?

Haven't seen it reported elsewhere but probably makes sense having that game away from London with the Olympics on.

Someone in the norwegian supporters club claimed a local club was asked about playing a friendly at home against Spurs. Will try to find the info.

Not here when the Stevenage v Spurs game is scheduled :(

And the reason for that is that I will be in Spain, including Valencia for some part of the trip... and we play them a week or so after I have been there!

Bad timing all round!

BTW, draw for NextGen (under 19) games have been made - and we get Barcelona ! The game we were denied by the Bindippers complaints about fielding younger better players than their lumps !

The first NextGen game last sesson was 17 August, so if the same timetable is followed this year there sould be a few more under 19 games in mid/late July

Went to New York when Spurs went there so this year we decided we were going to Los Angeles to watch my beloved Spurs. Anyone else going to make the trip?

I think Scroggy Road, Limavady holds about 200 supporters max, used to play their myself from the age of 5 to 16

As for the USA tour I take it none of the players taking part in the Euro's or Olympics will be going, that means no Van Der Vaart, Bale , Walker or Modric.

I think there are always problems with pre-season tours and internationals - its just more acute this year with football being included in the Olympics.

Looking at the timing of the US tour, its very early in the pre-season match cycle when Spurs usually field a number of youngsters, so expect a few of them in the Spurs squad to trravel. There maybe one or two new players if signed before then may not be involved with either competition so could be involved in Spurs US tour as a way to introduce them.

Either way the MLS is generally still a competition closer to Championship standard, so we should still be able to field a squad capable of playing well over there, although the danger is (I think) that its the middle of their season so they will be well prepared whereas for Spurs its a warm up game.

I am no expert on NI football grounds but the article below may be a recent upgrade to the ground which I understand now has almost 300 seats and standing room for almost 300 others giving spectator space to close to 600 (which sounds better - the US side will not have that much support so the support will be from locals and Spurs fans, so 500+ sounds plenty). Can you confirm the available spectator space ? http://www.fpmccann.co.uk/news/scroggy_road_opening
