The two things aren't mutually exclusive. Long term success doesn't mean you have to needlessly change your entire team for a winnable trophy and go out in the first tie.

Particularly when we aren't in Europe and have fewer games until the FA Cup starts.

Postecoglou has done very well, but he fucked this one up and I hope he learns from it.
