We’ll see. We lost 21 games last season, by next weekend it’ll be 2 out of 4. Personally I’m not that fussed as I’ve seen us be a tiny bit worse in the past, obviously it’s frustrating as we were so close at one point but I think it’s falling apart.
It started last term. We scrambled our way to madrid and it was incredible, but we’ve not played well consistently for ages imo.

Obviously I hope it’s not the case but if it is, meh, does it really matter? I’m losing a bit of affection for this side and Poch to be honest. It’s all starting to sound like he’s doing us a massive favour.
Sure, the two in two out policy means we’re fucked when it comes to really challenging but come on, how many better jobs in football is there? He’s done great for us and I love him but let’s not forget we gave him the fucking platform!

And in all honesty if he goes to Madrid, he is going to face 11 men behind the ball every fucking game. He better have a game plan by then or he will be back managing Espanyol pretty sharpish.

I don't like how he keeps banging on about the squad being unsettled, comments like that being made public aren't good at all whether its true or not & affects the whole squads mentality sub consciously

But that's a debate for another thread.....

It still doesn't explain the tactics and the pedestrian, predictable attacking play.

Surely you have to look at the players, they certainly don't look on the same page, but too many aren't simply playing to their potential! Lucas for instance only seems to play if he comes off the bench & Rose is simply missing, he should have been tucking around when they scored their goal, but he was too slow & his crossing was woeful!

Good luck with the cryptic bs riddles when he inevitably goes to Madrid. Get torn apart out there with the amount of rubbish he comes out with.

Hopefully he can stay under the radar this week and the players can pull something out the bag at their place.

Pochettino is speaking out of the other side of his mouth with this transfer window bullshit excuse. Here are some quotes from him in April 2018:

"It's a massive advantage for us for it to finish [our business] before the start of the season. For us, it's massive," Pochettino told Standard Sport.
"It's fantastic because now [the window closes] before the start of the season – not one month later."
"Of course, for many clubs it will not change too much but for us it is going to change a lot. We're going to have the squad ready before the start of the season. It's more helpful because they're going to have more time to adapt and help the team"
"You're going to win an extra month with them and it's massive. We don't need to wait for anything. We need today - no, yesterday! - to start to work to try to sign players. It's going to be very helpful for Tottenham.

“It is not impossible to the win the title," he added. "We need to start the season better. It’s not the right way for the club to start if you want to win big things as you will miss a few months. When you miss a few months in this competitive league it is so difficult to reduce the gap."

So he has said exactly the opposite thing about the transfer deadline just over a year ago. He was right then. I don't know why he's repeatedly going on about this now - Spurs voted to shut the window before the season started, with Poch's public comments in support of that vote.

He doesn’t know what he’s saying anymore tbh

Before he cries about transfers and other stuff, he should start his strongest team and stick to a working formation. Vertonghen was our best defender last season and Eriksen is our most creative player. You just don't put them on the bench.

Oh, and even if Vertonghen is not in 100 % shape, he would manage to play a 900 min game with the tempo we are playing at the moment. It's so slow, that even an overweight senior with arthritis would keep up without being tired.

Where do we go from here?
Poch's words are coming out all weird.
Where's our mojo now, when we need it?

EDIT - in case anyone missed the reference:

Alone to a static Kane
Falling asleep: the usual first half pain
Our attack won't quicken

I do have to say I find his press conferences and constant fixating from press on what he says annoying and feel Poch has to take blame for that as he feeds them far too much.

If I was a fan of another club I’d be like on FFS he’s rambling off again, like how I used to find Rodgers incredibly irritating when he was at Liverpool (he’s just as bad now but not given as much spot light thankfully).

Poch used to come across as a nice guy too but all he does now is worry me as things don’t seem right.

He also just seems to ramble nonsense now.

I just hope once new signings fit he find a way to put a decent side out.
