Might as well stay at Spurs then since they're already here...Excellent post. I'm sure he's very happy here. And things are very rosy. You do have a little worry though, Man Utd come and say here's X amount salary and 200 mill to buy all the young players you want. I think the big thing is it would prob take him another 18 months to get even Utd where we are, and clubs just don't give that kind if time now. I think our case will be a lot stronger if we do make the champs league. Make no mistake though, the better we get, the more the so called big boys will come. Just as we take managers off teams below us in the past
At the end of the day Man Utd are worried about their share price. They have lost $800m of their value since lvgs early days.
Signing poch will not boost that by much. (Americans don't really know him and he could be a one season wonder to them.) Singing Mourinho will.
But to think Man Utd is not attractive is naive. They have far more resources than us and are one of the 4 uber clubs in world football.
If he goes to Yanited (and i think it's total bollocks) then he will have to change his philosophy as i cannot see the owners or fans wanting to see him form a team made up of spotty twenty year old's.
He wouldn't leave a CL team (us) for a non CL team (United) so end of story . That's all
Agree mate, I'd expect him to be.Have to ask though, why wouldn't Poch be on Man Utd short list? He's been nothing short of brilliant and very highly regarded. Knows the Prem ect now too
I'm sure he's happy here and is excited by want he has done so far and is looking to the future. However if a bigger club like Utd or City and certainly Real and Barca come calling he will be off. It would be a big setback but not a disaster what would though is our top players would probably leave not seeing the club having real ambition. Even if he stays we will have to be strong to hang on to Deli and Harry in the summer regardless and we know Levy will always sell if the price is right.
Mauricio Pochettino has offered rare insight into the Tottenham Hotspur chairman, Daniel Levy, and managed to reinforce arguably his best-known trait. When Pochettino moved to White Hart Lane in the summer of last year he negotiated directly with Levy over his contract as he does not have an agent. The experience was demanding.
“It was very tough, and he won,” Pochettino said, with a smile. “I negotiated with him and now I am very strong. I don’t have an agent. He offered the contract and I say yes or no or I want more. He has a reputation as a very hard businessman? It’s true. I can feel that.”
It says Utd have approached his representatives
As F365 pointed out, Pochettino doesn't have reps, he reps himself and has said so in interviews. He doesn't have an agent.
So yeah, balls
maybe they approached him directly
Maybe they didn't approach him at all, and the Sun made the story up.maybe they approached him directly
