For 88 minutes Keane might as well not have been on the pitch, he was awful but that was a great goal.

Berbatov was very very good!

I was at work so missed watching the game, but listening to the radio commentators they said Jenas was very poor!
As for the commentators, I'll give them 9/10 for calling the ref Old Mother Riley at every opportunity!

berbatov doesnt deserve the 7.5
a mere 6.5 thought his goal that made it 3-2 kinda brought us back into the game. other than i wasnt too amused.
though keane ran ran and ran...sometimes a striker does need to score as many goals as people expect them to but the way he runs on the pitch and the way he tires defenders is a contribution to the game and his teammate.. i loved his goal
back to Berbatov, i woulda given him a 10 had he not missed that stupid setter. YES IT WAS A SETTER for someone with his abilities..drove me mad ..might give him a 7.5 or even an 8 tomorrow but for now i am still mad and wont give him more than 6.5

I love the 949 team, miles better than any of their TV counterparts, and when Bradley Allen's summarising he nearly always has a few useful snippets of Spurs info from Clive. And Parry's always laying into the referees. His best was from last season, in the home game against United.

"Mark Clattenburg's going by the book."

"Yes, but the book's 'Biggles in Hong Kong'."

I bet they would be told to tone it down on TV.

man of the match (in my opinion) - Huddlestone. Had an assist from a corner and scored beautifull goal. Strong midfielder with an initiative.

Cant really say Berbatov should be MOTM. Maybe if Robbo hadnt had played so maaaaany long balls towards Berba, he couldve scored one more... Great chance in the end (good save though).

Good game. Well done Boys.

Ha ha ha, i wasnt sure what station i had it on SS57, but it must have been the one you mention, it really was enjoyable to listen to, they sound like 'real' people commentating and say what they think, which is refreshing!

Jenas was very, very poor last night. Didnt help his England cause at all. Never ventured forward, only happy to play the simple side passes.

Keano too was below average, but saved himself by scoring THAT goal.

Berbatov, Zokora and Huddlestone were the better players last night, with the Hud my easy pick for MOM.

I dont know why some people berate Zokora every single game, he was brilliant tonight, intercepting passes, dribbling forward (unlike JJ), and initiated attacks well.

Those I didnt mention were simply average.

Huddlestone, even though he only had a half, ran the midfield almost on his own, especially when we went down to 3 at the back. His technique when striking a ball is as good as anyone's, once he improves his set piece delivery and stops giving away so many fouls, he will be our best midfielder by a mile.

Remember he's barely 21!

From wiki - Thomas Huddlestone (born December 28, 1986 in Nottingham)

I like Jenas, although piss poor tonight, but he is an athlete, and his footballing ability is nowhere near Huddlestones.

(This is not a dig at Zokora, i like him and thought he was decent, just when we went down to 3 at the back, he did his usual half CB half DM role completing a diamond back four.)

I've only watched Sky's highlights so far, but can't see why so many people gave Robinson low marks, it looked like he had no chance with 3 of the goals and was a bit unlucky with one. At first view I thought he should have saved the first one, but on review Drogba's downward header was superb. Essiens chip was unstoppable, Chimbonda left Cole with an open goal which Cole dispatched top corner, and Robbo very nearly saved Cole's other goal after Chim had left him completely exposed. How are any of those things Robbo's fault.
I understand from those at the game that Robbo punted long balls a lot, but that is a tactical call from the management team and coaches - I don't believe Robbo makes that decision when the tactic is that consistent.

I'd feel wrong giving a spurs player MoM when a player like Joe Cole steps up with a performance like that.

Kudos to him, I like him as a player and a person, he certainly doesn't seem to have that air of arrogance about him like some of his english team mates.

Robbo, didn't really do much wrong, admittedly I didn't see the whole game, but what I did see, he didn't do too badly.

I said something bad about Huddlestone last week about his performance against PSV, him not being able to step up. Think I may have been proven wrong last night, he looked mightily composed and gave us an extra dimension with an assured display (from what I saw!)

I thought our CB's were good, certainly no goal or worth while chance was conceded by them. Our weakness was down our left defensively and from our CM on not tracking and marking runners from Chelsea. Chimbonda had a poor night which unluckily came on the day Joe Cole was awesome. His performance as a narrow wide man put Steed to shame and highlights the gulf in certain areas between us and the top bastards. Ramos will add to his armoury.

I'm in the Berbatov had a good game brigade... but MOTM was Woodgate.. had another 35 mins playing CB on his own again.

I hate to say it, but the best player on the pitch was Joe Cole. Why the fuck does he always have his better games against us. He was by far the most creative player on show.

Only on basis of Sky extended highlights:

Robbo 6 - A few saves but four goals conceded is never a good GK day. Distribution infuriating as usual
Hutton 7.5 - Quieter game but legend in the making. Attitude is spot on
Woodgate 7 - Solid and love those goals
King 6.5 - Did OK
Chimbonda 4 - Awful. Being played out of position but his positional sense as a full-back was so bad last night. Soooo getting sold in the summer
Zokora 6 - Not bad. Did a bit of what he does well but influencing the game enough
Jenas 5 - Really quiet game. Stiffled by Chelski midfield
Malbranque 7 - Did well but few game-turning moments
Lennon 7 - Distibution a bit better than usual and worked really hard
Keane 7.5 - Quiet game but the quality of that goal was one to savour
Berbatov 8 - Always makes it hard for any team and great goal
Huddlestone 8 - Did really well. Very composed and cracking strike.
Bent n/a - I genuinely did not spot him on the Sky highlights!

Ramos 9.5 - Legend. His tactics are spot-on. It felt like such a role-reversal to when we lost to Chelski in the FA cup the other year. We had Jol who made tactical errors and they had Mourinho who made the right moves. Last night Ramos was getting it right and Grant clueless. This more than anything fills me with hope. If we can improve in just a couple of places I think Ramos will be leading us to great things next year. This season is a bit of an education for him and next year we'll be raring to go.

Cudicini made a couple of outstanding saves and is the reason Chelsea got a point, made two match winning saves.

THudd for us made a huge difference when he came on, best passer in our side by a long way.

Despite conceding four I was also impressed with Woodgate for the majority of the game, will become as good and important a signing as Berba!

Meh. I hate these threads but I had to comment because this one opens with a clear out-and-out lie. Robbo "no saves"? That's not a matter of opinion, it's straightforwardly not true.
