yeah i was over the moon we got him. But it just seems to me he was bought for the club rather than for the manager. He has been very underwhelming so far. I hope he comes good, but if Conte stays then i cant see it.
Have you read something from Conte that makes you think he's a club signing? Why wouldn't he have been wanted by Conte?

Thought he looked good in his time on today. Time to give him a chance playing with Bentancur, for me PEH was missing in action when the going got tough in the second half.

Hojbjerg just annoys me by berating his teammates, flapping his arms and fist pumping to mask his massive limitations.

Bissouma, Starr and Bentancur are superior in all aspects.

As is the case with many of our players, his performances don’t match his ability.

When the inevitable happens and Conte goes, I would bet good money that whoever replaces builds a three man midfield with him as the base, and that we see a different player.

Other than when we played Brighton, I've never seen that much of him, and can't say I'm that impressed so far.

you could see a good player there yesterday in the short time he was on. Even just the way he chests it or controls it into the space. He will come good. Give him a run of games with Bentancur to help him get some confidence. Hojbjerg out of the team can’t come soon enough for me. I hate watching us with him playing in midfield. He disjoints any passing rhythm or momentum and can’t get around the pitch quick enough to make up for it.

He has to start with Bentacur against Fulham - technically he is twice the player Hjojberg is.

Be nice to play 3 in midfield and actually try and control a game for once but we know that won't happen.

Yeah yesterday was the first time I think he didn't look like a deer in the headlights, actually carried the ball forward and looked to make progressive passes. I'd definitely look at giving PEH some time off too, he's played a lot of football already this season and it's showing.

He did this in one instance yesterday, went mental at someone out of camera (possibly Deki?), then 5 seconds later gave a way a simple pass. I did like him, but I'm definitely going off him.

The two things are different. We need players to demand the best of others. I think someone (Benancur?) pulled out of a header. His own levels can be very frustrating but I don't want him to stop calling out others because of that.

The problem is no one respects a “leader” that can’t do what he’s demanding of others. He demands high standards yet his own are fucking shocking. 100% guarantee some of his teammates will have seen him shouting and pointing, then give the ball away with a stupid hoof and thought “You dickhead”. No one likes a talker that can’t walk the walk, especially footballers

More press-resistant than PEH, surprised he doesn't start more – appreciate he's been injured and out-of-form, but Hojbjerg could really use a time out.

Thought PEH was OK and decent in the first half, but agree would like to see Bissouma with Bentancur moving forward and give him a proper run of matches.

Also depending on Kulu's health (I don't want to rush him back to get another injury) I wouldn't mind seeing 3-5-2 against Fulham to try and shore up the defense further with Bissouma mopping up behind Sarr and Betnancur (similar skill sets imo)

Agreed PEH could do with a break, would be interesting to see Bissouma paired with Bentancur for a few games. However those berating Pierre have selective memories, he was one of our best players early in the season.

Agree 1000% - PEH and Bentancur were carrying us at times and popping in with goals/assists as well. We're going to need all three of Bentancur - PEH - and Bissouma if there's to be any success towards the end of the season.

I used to play with a guy like that proper john terry guy at CB. Slow and blames everyone almost a pen a game from him. Somehow it was someone else’s fault when he punched the ball away from a cross. Those are the worst ones to play with. Yes he wokld scare you on field but total liability and you couldn’t call him out.

Agree pEH is a player that gives his all. Bissouma though has to up is own level and take that position. I am hoping he will eventually come good.

Just want to see Bissouma and Bentancur if we have to have 2 in CM. If they get on the same wavelength we'd be so much stronger.

So obvious Bissouma is on a different level as a footballer to Hojberg, presumably he's playing to instructions as would love to see him burst forward more like he did with Brighton.

I am convinced he is told to sit back.
We saw the same with Bentacur when he joined. Hojbjerg/Skipp were able to push forward during games.

Skipp came on and it aloud Bissouma to break forward at times.
