Really suggest you watch this if you want a full idea of what Bissouma is.
Showcases his immense strengths well, and his limitations equally well.
Oi! Gorgeous!…Nicola ... Berti

Partey, Tielemans, Xhaka, ElNeny and Lokonga is miles clear of Bissouma, Bentencur, Hojberg, Winks and Skipp, don't get it twisted.
Hojberg-Bissouma might not have enough guile to cut it against the very best in the CL, but I tell you they’ll eat most PL midfields alive, top athleticism and aggression.
Yup. With you on this. He’s a DM, just one that’s very skilful and has a nice shot.@Bluto Blutarsky noticed the same thing from watching him this season. We're going to be underwhelmed if we're expecting a rangy passer who initiates attacks and breaks lines with his passing. His passing is OK, but 90% of his passes are simple, short clean-up passes and nothing more than ball recycling. Of course, he doesn't play this way for Mali or under Hughton, and is a function of the two midfielders in front of him in the CM3 of Brighton's.
The clean up role is definitely is where his best attributes shine. He is actually Kante-like, in every sense of the comparison. His dribbling and body control are incredibly good, he's press resistant, confident in every duel, and he is an aggressive ball carrier.
But there's a reason he's only 25m and it ain't just the court case or one year deal. He isn't an elite passer and doesn't get into the box much for my liking. I wonder if a Skipp-Bissouma or Hojbjerg-Bissouma pairing would play out dynamically. He has the potential to play further forward and playmake, but his passing is very conservative most of the time.
there is still time for at least 5 'confirmed and official' posts from him before the club makes it officially official. So not actually done yet. Just very close. Let’s wait till he’s holding the shirt.
Wait until the here we go. Also the medical is apparently set for tomorrow so no official announcement until Friday probably. So not actually done yet. Just very close. Let’s wait till he’s holding the shirt.
Ya Vesh BeSoiux Ma If you want to say it in the Malian dialect
Yeah no-ones on Kante's level but Bissouma's ball-carrying certainly looks better than our current crop of MFs. Skipp is the only one of our current 3 that comes close in that area, so will be great to have another CM that can really drive us up the pitch.I agree with some of the observations being made about the type of player he is. He’s definitely been used as a DM during his time in the PL. he’s been integral to that Brighton side that moves the ball so well, so it should be no surprise that his biggest attributes (IMO) are to do with how he recycles the ball quickly. He’s got good feet, a good engine and good positioning. I don’t think he carries the ball as well as someone like Kante but he is a very good DM.
so, whos on training ground watch tomorrow?
Tonight the agenda is tracking a flight from Mali to London ?so, whos on training ground watch tomorrow?
AFTV on Bissouma & its Livveeeee
Yeah I really think playing with our level of players is going to elevate him even moreI’ve watched him quite extensively for the past 4 seasons. The reason for this is we were linked when he was at Lille and I was really intrigued when I saw some of his footage there. So when he signed for Brighton I wanted to watch him closer.
Anyway, definitely agree that he has some of the skills of Wanyama, Dembele and Kante. He is an absolute beast of a midfielder can dominate matches with his athleticism, technique and strength.
I would also say though that I really believe he’s got more in his locker, he just needs to bring it out. I’ve seen him play superb passes forward and influence action higher up at times, so he definitely has more to his game and more to give.
I really think he could become an absolute worldy under Conte.
