Absolute fair play to Dier recently but I was thinking to myself if he got injured (hopefully not obviously) Rodon could well flourish with Toby. Not sure I feel as confident with Rodon and Dier..
Dier was excellent today . I think he's made for games like that where we are compact and everything's always in front of him.

I wonder if Mourinho will go with Dier Rodon until Toby is back, or if Sanchez will get a chance again. Maybe thursday will decide.

It will be Rodon in the Prem
Obvs Sanchez in the Europa league.
DS would have to turn in a seriously impressive performance to jump back up the pecking order.

Completely agree Trix. It's Toby's leadership that I feel means a Rodon/Toby would be far more secure than a Rodon/Dier thinking more long term. Hopefully it works brilliantly.

Yes probably, but it's a hard time for Rodon to come into the team with all the though games coming. I don't think it's a certainty.

Yeah, I’m not sure what Jose will do. All I know is Toby being out is a big blow, because even if Rodon has all the raw materials he remains totally inexperienced in the PL, especially going into a hard run of games.

And it’s no coincidence for me that we’ve looked far more solid since Sanchez has been out of the team.

Something in the deep recesses of my memory tells me that Michael Dawson began his Tottenham career in a situation similar to this. Rodon has the quality to be equally successful.

Actually, Mourinho can also go with Dier Davies in some games.
