I know that. Haven’t public when he left chavs, who mainly played him off the left. He said he sees himself as a striker and not a wide player, and that is where he wants to play, and i agree. Play him to his strengths. We already have Kulu playing out of position. Why don’t we just add to the confusion.
Plays across the front 3. Also because Kulu is better as a 10 than he is on the wing?

'Why is our Australian manager so taken with the idea of Timo?' I asked myself this arvo, whilst watching a doco by a journo who was interviewing this garbo from Freo in a servo...

🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

Obviously, there's more to it than that, but let's hope we - and Danno - aren't devo by how it turns out.

I see Werner’s the central, Johnson has on the right. Not sure about Richy on the left, and when Son is back Richy may find himself on the bench. He is not productive enough out left imho.

Big thing is they’ve all got experience playing all 3 positions. Fluidityyyyyy.

Most times I watched him for RB before he went full Chavs, he seemed to play more toward the left. I could be misremembering. But I have to disagree with this notion that he isn’t productive enough cutting in from the left. No idea what that is based on. In the same way, I had no idea what Brennan would bring to the table under Ange. For me, it is a complete clean slate. Let‘s see how he does, based on where the coach fella wants him to play. Which… if I were a guessing man, I believe it will be on the left or right.

That said…Ange is always full of surprises.

Think that will be our first choice front 3 by end of Feb.

Sorry Richy but for me that has a much better feel to it than

Johnson
Richarlison
Son

Agree. Also he’s really poor at crossing and often has a heavy touch when dribbling, in general he’s at lot better at CF. The pace part I get and under Nagelsmann at Leipzig he did often drift wide left on the counter but he lacks the dynamism to be really effective out wide. He is an option out wide in the same way Richy is an option out wide all be it Werner is faster. And against a team that plays a high line I could see the sense in playing him there but he’d be third choice for me behind Solomon and Son. Essentially he’s a CF first and foremost and that’s where will see the best of him.

Sure, that’s agreed. But my point was don’t make a point with a pointless video as there’s no point.
It’s pointless.

point taken?
I wouldn’t say that YouTube videos are ‘pointless’ tbh, sure in most cases it overhypes most players but it does give you an indication of what that player is capable of if on top form etc.

Love transfers like this. Totally out of the blue. Regardless of the outcome, big pat on the back for the team who got this over the line, without a peep being made public. That’s difficult to do in this day and age.

Conversely, the Dragusin move will play out very publicly. Probably because it is a permanent move. But also the Italian media seem to have great connections for getting inside info. Oh, and the agent, etc… love yapping about this stuff to anyone who will listen!

Scarygood that. Then hopefully if Solomon is back we would have Kulu, Solomon & Richy off the bench 60-70 mins and/or start one of them and save one of the pacey front 3 to bring off the bench. Either way Werner would be a lovely addition and a huge upgrade on Gil for example.

I hear you, but Richy out side-nah. Central instead of Werner-nah
I don’t necessarily disagree but If we drop Richy for Werner straight off the bat then we will kill whatever confidence he will have built up in recent weeks. Going to be a delicate situation for Ange to manage.

It's direct for sure but severely lacking in footballing smarts and general game intelligence for me.

The 'brains' will almost certainly have to come further back in Maddison, Lo Celso and Bentancur.

Yep no way we drop a fairly in-form Richy from his current ST role. Werner will love the LW role under Ange and can then have some minutes up top when Richy goes off around 70 mins.

Absolutely banging signing for a loan to buy. Always hoped we’d sign him before he went to Chelsea. I have a feeling he’ll smash it.

I still prefer not to have someone who played for Chelsea, just the way I feel 😩
Which would be fair if not for Chelsea wasting many talented players over the year. Sure City & Liverpool don’t regret buying Chelsea rejects De Bruyne & Salah
