Interesting, the info from Ornstein this morning suggests Utd are either not interested, or want him cheap and are worried Madrid are trying to start a bidding war (more fool them as this is Spurs!). That said if the player isn't interested I imagine we walked away already.

State of Reguilon is pretty clear till now:

1. Reguilon wants to play for RM one day
2. RM don’t want him now as Mendy came new a season before and Marcelo has 2 years left
3. Sevilla want to take him only on loan but don’t want to buy him
4. RM wants 30m€ but they want a buy back clause
5. United likes him but no bid made. Same for Spurs.

No idea if we have money to move on him. Not sure if we will agree to RM buy back clause.
I hope we do the deal with RM even with a buy back clause for nearly same money 2 or 3 seasons out. Things could change , we could have more money to buy another player - who knows. But IMO we have to buy such a full back when we have a chance.

Now, I do trust the HLN guy, since he gave us a literal countdown to the Toby 11am transfer announcement.

Saying that, HLN is Belgian, not Spanish.

But dude obviously has connections.

Personally think this is a combination of multiple things, why nothing concrete from us has come apart from what seems a call from Mourinho so far.
Priority appears to be a striker, which we want to address first, and do not want a Non HG spot taking with Reguilon signed andnot being able to sell a current non HG from our squad.

If, we release Aurier, or Foyth, this then could pave the way for a more serious approach from us, to what sounds like the general sounding out our interest and players going on now.

I'll be surprised if we bring any more players in, especially defenders, until we have moved a few players on. That seems to have gone very quiet.

Once again we're faced with a player (talented - according to many on here) who seems like he isn't interested in us per se ... Why do we continue to court these types of transfers? Just move on, doesn't mean he won't be any less available if United don't want him.
