For the people hoping it gets done today will adding Spence to the deal further complicate things and make it harder to complete today?

Or will adding Spence to the deal be relatively simple because it is a loan rather then a transfer?

How up to date this is I'm not sure I expect it was from the end of play last night......

"I believe there is an official offer actually on the table now(the only one we've made) so I expect we are in agreement with them of what they will accept".

For context; There are two ways of doing things. Ask what they want then negotiate that until you reach a compromise and then make a formal bid like we have and usually do. I'm not sure who the Journo was saying we had 2 bids rejected but it was bullshit, like literally made up nonsense.

The other way is to ask what they want and then make a lesser offer very public in order to pressure the move by turning the players head then thrash it out. Both methods have their pro's and cons but we nearly always go down option one. So when journalists start throwing around numbers and saying we've had bids xyz rejected just keep that in mind.

Normally, even though it's part of the same transfer, they get done separately. So I wouldn't expect any delay. But if the bid hasn't been accepted yet, I can't see it being done today.

Would need bid accepted, he would need to come over for a medical (is it normally 2 sets, or over 2 days?). And then it be official, so unless it's further on that we know, I would guess tomorrow at earliest for it to be official.

The funniest thing to me with it all, is the posts from people moaning about others overreacting are, at least to me, more annoying to sift through than the original ones by the people overreacting.

But each to their own, neither sets of posts really bother me that much. If I don’t want to read them I just skip past to the next.
The toughest to get through the people moaning about those moaning about moaning....😜

Okay this could go on forever.

I'm not one of the people who were freaking out last night, I take everything with a pinch of salt. However it has to be said that when you have an itk essentially blaming Levy and suggesting the deal could collapse because of Levy it doesn't help does it. I try not to get drawn into it all and I do appreciate people passing on stuff but some people need to be much more careful how they share information because it's like a red rag to a bull in here.
I get where you're coming from but I don't agree with the last part especially. People can share however they choose to share. The responsibility is on the person receiving that information to control their response. Besides as @Trix said Herc clarified pretty quickly anyway. People just need to take a breath, yes I do realise the futility of that statement given its transfer season.

It's all good just different perspectives

WLB you need your own strap-line. Fabrizio has his..."Here we go" to all but announce a signing.

What about...
"Beneath every transfer is a feeling, and WLB has a good one..." BOSH! SC can rest easier and in-doing so you can prevent a lot of grown-men from sharting their under-crackers.

I just don't get this logic. The whole reason these threads exist is people getting excited and talking about players before we sign them. Naturally, people are then going to feel disappointed if the opposite looks like happening.

Just think everyone should be left alone for their reactions whether positive or negative. It's a forum, after all.

Left alone when publicly putting those positive or negative emotions on display for everyone else to see and react to? If anyone expects that, I think that beats the purpose of this place. It's a forum, after all! :)

People are of course allowed to feel disappointed and go through the emotions along with the updates, but it is fascinating to watch (almost frightening) how quickly some people lose their sh*t. And it's always based on unconfirmed information.

I'd imagine if they've worked through the night to close this and it's at the stage WLB is suggesting I'd be very surprised if he isn't traveling over this morning as soon as it's signed off. Medicals can easily be done in one day.
