It's the surprise by Conte that's the odd thing. If they'd fallen out or whatever you think he would have just shrugged it off or not gone in for the hug in the first place.

Irrespective of whether Hobby mean’t it or not, the look on Conte’s face and the way he hangs is pretty clear. PEH has to realise that fans aren’t going to accept him disrespecting Conte in anyway shape or form.

Next game, march to touchline and make amends

Just seen this from a different angle, he def saw him and flung his arm away :wideyed:

Hopefully something they will sort privately and nip in the bud before it builds into anything more.

Well, at least we know what needs to happen in order for things to go back to normal.

Son would undoubtedly play the role of MC for such an occasion.

I really do wish people would stop using international football as some sort of measuring stick to tell us how good/bad a player is.

International football is dogshit & how a player has performed for their country means absolutely fuck all. I'll point you in the direction of Mr Lo Celso if you're wanting proof of how International displays mean Jack shit when it comes to performing in The Premier League.

Hojbjerg himself admits he's not the best footballer. Why can't people on here accept that, while appreciating what he can & does bring to the party.

Could he be improved upon? Of course he could. But does he have a place in the squad, a use that benefits the unit as a whole. Yes!
That Harry Kane. Dogshit?
Keep taking the pills.

Definitely something going on there. It’s pretty clear.

PEH had a good game but he still doesn’t offer enough going forward or on the ball for me to have him starting next season.

I think it’s clear we need to improve in CM and PEH is the one to make way.

Bentancur is easily our best CM on the ball and he’s very good off it too, he just needs to get used to the speed of the game.

No one is talking about him being a starter next season lol. We're simply saying he is needed to play this season out of our options as we perform better with him than without him. I'd love us to sign a top class CM to be a nailed on starter, but until that point happens, Hojbjerg does more than the other options do and is worth his starting position. We already have seen how much he benefits from having bentancur as a partner over Winks.

I’d still like to see Skipp and Bentancur start together also. There probably isn’t much between the two combinations.

We need fire in our team. Competiton for places... that's what every top team has and what makes players better. And we need a manager like Conte who can shake up the atmosphere a bit... PEH and Conte are both warriors and proud men... nothing is wrong there :) ... they just both want to win. PEH also needs a break once in a while. He might not admit it... but he runs out of steam with the way he plays. We need him but he also needs a manager who can help him... PEH would play every second of every match if he could decide.

And we can all agree that Winks is the player that needs to be replaced... PEH, Skipp, Bentancur and one new CM... then we are in good shape. PEH is very important for us. But until we get one more new CM Winks will unfortunately feature for us and be in rotation with the others.

One of my best mates was shot twice, in the shoulder and arm, when on tour in Afghanistan, others haven’t made it back or just aren;t the same after going to war.

The use of the word warrior in respect of footballers is wrong. They run around a nd kick a fuckign ball whilst being paid millions.

Options are key as long as it's a choice of Skipp, PEH and Bentancur or all 3 and no one else.

Well, I bloody love Hobby just like I loved Perryman, Howells, Wanyama and the like. Perryman became an absolute legend for his wholeheartedness and drive. Hobby isn't at that level but he's still a very decent footballer and the type we've missed a lot over the years. We moan about our soft centre then give pelters to players like this? Give me a break. I hope he is pushing back against Conte, because Conte will absolutely love that.

It's being used within the context of football though. Nobody is actually comparing people who go to war with footballers, I think you're being ridiculous.

Exactly. It would be like getting offended by the use of the term 'midfield general'.
