If Saints refuse KWP + cash too then we have to decide if its worth getting in a clear primary target early to have the pre season period(albeit abbreviated) to work with Jose for maybe £6m extra. If anyone has doubts as to Hojbjerg's quality - the fact that the two managers trying to sign him are Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti should allay those concerns somewhat, IMO.

That just tells you that the two clubs need that kind of player. Hojbjerg fits the bill. My view, as I've said before is this: it's an uninspiring signing that makes sense. He isn't a great player, but he would improve that. Today we've been linked with Brozovic. For me, that would be a much better purchase.
