Looking at Denmark’s lineups during the past couple of years, he has been mostly on the subs bench behind Eriksen, Delaney and the 34 year old Schöne.

He also wasn’t selected for Denmark’s World Cup 2018 squad.

Is he not highly rated by the Denmark coach?
Some coaches/Managers just don't fancy a player regardless of his ability.

Mr Zidane says bonjour btw...

I mean Eriksen and Schone are not defensive players. If Denmark don't want to play with two defensive midfielders he is competing with Delaney, and you can definitely make the argument that Delaney is the better player. Certainly before this season.

With Hojbjerg coming in nice and early, does anyone know when the players will be back for preseason training? I googled our preseason fixtures and saw that we kick off against Ipswich on the 22nd Aug... that's just 11 days' time! We can't be playing matches as soon as that surely??

Because of EL we will probably start quite early.

Bit annoying now isn’t it. Told Højbjerg’s move wasn’t dependent on KWP so why the hold up announcing it if it’s all done. Let Saints announce KWP in their own time.

Why not? They had a few months off already so already had a mid season break. Many would have played in the Euros so all the return did was replace those Euro games with PL games over a month. The players need to return soon to get sharp again as they had just got back into it. I would say it's important however that they have the winter break which they now have in England. Maybe they should bring that forward to Jan as it's more a concern in several months where the games start to mount up.

Not sure why it matters to be honest. I mean if the deal is done then they really have no pressure to announce it yet. If they're doing Saints a favor and allowing them to announce KWP to soften the blow then I think that's fair. Afterall we dont want them to pull out of the deal as I'm sure we need to shift KWP. This way it keeps them happy.

It’s done though. Medical done, all signed off. They can’t pull out. He’s our player. Just tweet a picture of him in the shirt and we can all move on to the next one.
