He's a very good player. We need to stop hating on him.Does La Liga drug test? I don't know what he's on so I'm just going to go ahead and assume he's on everything.

Yeah he had a bad time with us, and I've said many times before that I blame two things for that. He's a very good player. We need to stop hating on him.
He looked a class apart in that game against stoke - world class even.Yeah he had a bad time with us, and I've said many times before that I blame two things for that.
1) Charlie Adam for a horrible tackle that set him out for a few months just after he'd scored a very good goal and was putting in a MOTM performance against Stoke.
2) The 7-1 in the World Cup that seemed to completely kill his confidence. Put the two together and his last season he looked scared to take the field.
He needed to get away and restart his career, and good on him for making the most of it.
I mentioned in another thread recently I thought he started off ok for us but around Christmas in his first season he was awesome for us in a home game against Stoke, we won 3-0, he was pulling out all sorts of tekkers, there was a spin and flick over someones head that sticks out in memory, anyway just as it looked like he was flourishing for us that dirty fucker Adam took him out and he was out injured for months and that was that, he was a shadow of he player afterwards, shame.Have only seen the highlights but THOSE TOUCHES. Where were they, Paulie? Shows how important confidence is - he's suffered on a couple of occasions with moves (one to Spurs, one to Easter Europe) but has bounced back twice.
Good on 'im.Best passer in the team....
