We all thought the Norwich loan was good for him but it seems they did over play him too much. I wonder if we ever raised issue with that?

We were pushing him too to be fair. 28 appearances this season before the end of January is one hell of a workload.

I agree.

That said, he was our best midfielder, so can see why he was used so much.

Let's just hope the introduction of Bentancur & the upturn of PEHs form means we can take it easy in regards to Skipps reintroduction.

At the start of the season I did mention about it being unfair to put too much pressure on him and it being detrimental to his game. I thought it might be in terms of form though, not injury.

Also, just to be clear, the "medical" support staff team can include:

Doctor's
Rehab specialists
Physios
Strength and Conditioning experts
Masseurs
Nutritionists

All carrying out different roles to support the players. Using the term medical team without understanding the different roles that are involved in player health and then laying blame at the entire team is counter-productive, considering no one knows who administered an injection that is being reported as the cause of his infection.

Its been reported multiple times that he has some sort of infection hasn't it?
I think that all started from a Conte comment, and I’m inclined to believe that was a simple mistake by someone who’s first language isn’t English. The idea of a groin infection doesn’t make sense in this context. I’ve seen a lot of quotes mentioning inflammation, but wouldn’t be able to point you to them.

Fuck all to do with being injury prone. Osteitis Pubis is a description of symptoms. Woody's injury was originally diagnosed as a hernia, but it never got better, even after surgery, even after months of rest. Inflamation is a catch-all term, but it's often related to autoimmune issues, and they are bastards to deal with.
Ah, didn't realise that was Woodys issue, just remember him being crocked so often, throughout his career.
Let's hope Skippy can make a full and proper recovery from this as it would be such a massive shame to see a talent such as his, ruined by his body.

Edit. Was it just one issue that plagued Woody throughout his career then? A bit like Lamela's hips nearly turned into.

It wasn’t just that one issue, but that issue never went away, so could have contributed to other issues. And I’m not claiming to know what Skipp’s issues are. My original post was me being horribly pessimistic about his prognosis, but also pointing out that the reports so far are about descriptions of symptoms, not specific medical conditions. The science has moved on massively since Woody’s day.

Well, he didn’t do it himself did he?

I don't know the situation and neither do you. You blamed the Spurs medical team as if you had proof positive it was their negligence at play. You don't have any evidence, just an article, from a reporter (who has no background in medicine or sports injuries) which you've then used to blame an entire backroom support staff.

The words infection and inflammation are basically the same in Italian as in English. I don't think he would have made that mistake. Possible he miss spoke.

I'm not an expert here, but based on how long he has been out for you would think it's infection, if it's an inflammation you would think it indicates an underlying cause beyond any injection. Could even be through contamination of blood as pretty sure blood spinning is still legal in football so plenty of ways an infection could hypothetically happen.
