I want VdV, but I also want an experienced, top level CB to be there too. Romero, van de Ven and someone else rotating through the two spots with someone like Dier as fourth choice would be my preference. Phillips and van de Ven is a lot of inexperience.

The only thing I think that changed was Bayerns interest in Kane becoming serious.

Now Trix has said in the Kane thread its 70:30 Kane stays we can now go through with VDV.

Which is a small shame because it would mean we see Tapsoba as too expensive unless we get some good money in on our outs.

Hoping we get VDV in then can shift some players and also get in Tapsoba.

I'm kind of reading VDV as illustrative of nothing other than Wolfsberg needed more time to sort themselves out.

By accounts we expected this done weeks ago and for him to fly out to the far east.

If that's true then it doesn't tell us anything about Kane or Tapsoba beyond that deals are complex and take time even when you're busting a nut to get people in.
